Tennis star Casper Ruud and his girlfriend Maria Galligani are engaged.
The Norwegian player popped the question to his partner of six years, sharing the happy news on Instagram.
In the post includes two professional photos taken on a beach, showing the couple gazing into each other's eyes.

The description reads: "Can't wait to marry you."
The couple has been dating since 2018, having met in Norway. They currently live in Oslo.
Ruud is currently in the off season of his sport and is ranked at number six in the world for single's players as per the ATP Tour.

Ruud is the son of former professional tennis player Christian Ruud and he grew up idolising tennis great Rafael Nadal.
Galligani completed a degree in psychology in 2020 and received her master's degree in psychology from the University of Southern Denmark in 2022.

According to Wikipedia she has worked for a sports nutrition company.
The couple shares a dog named Bajas who sometimes features on Ruud's social media accounts.

In an interview with We Are Tennis earlier this month he spoke of his relationship with Galligani, saying it is her choice to keep their romance low-key.
"I mean, it's her choice. Obviously, we met before I got to the level I was at now, so things have changed for her, as well, and it hasn't always been easy," he said.
"There are more things in my life that I have to take care of now than when we met. So when you're together with or a girlfriend or partner or fiancée, wife of an athlete, you have to be prioritised No. 3, 4, 5 even some days, because there are many other things that I have to do before," Ruud continued.

"It's tennis, it's treatment, it's media, it's maybe meeting a sponsor. It's a lot of things before you have time for maybe your partner," he went on, praising his other half for being "very patient and great with these things."
"On the social media side ... she doesn't want it. She wants to be her own, in control of her own kind of life and especially personal life. I'm happy that she's found that way," he added.
Ruud appeared in tennis documentary Break Point, which premiered in 2023. He also appeared in the tennis docuseries Rafa Nadal Academy.
The tennis star was also part of the film Federer: Twelve Final Days which premiered in June.
The Australian Open kicks off in January 2025.
