Apprentice star Karren Brady's grandson has been taken to hospital by her daughter Sophia Peschisolido this week.

The business mogul, 55, became a grandparent earlier this year when her eldest child Sophia, 27, welcomed her son in March. The family, who have yet to disclose the now nine-month-old baby's name, have shared updates since then.

Sophia announced in the latest update on Tuesday that she was spending New Year's Eve in hospital with her son. She shared the news with her followers through her Instagram Story and included a photo of her baby at the hospital.

The photo showed the baby, whose face was covered by an emoji, sporting a monitor on one of his toes. Alongside the photo, Sophia wrote: "Spending New Year's Eve in hospital with our poorly little man." She included a white heart and a teary-eyed emoji in the caption.

Sophia welcomed her son into the world in March and announced his arrival days later. She had revealed that she was expecting a baby with her fiancé Frankie Makin last year, saying at the time: "Our greatest blessing due 2024."

Announcing his birth earlier this year, the content creator shared a photo of the newborn wearing a onesie that had "welcome to the world" written on it. Alongside it, she told fans: "Our son, never known a love like this 28/03/24."

The newborn baby's arrival was exactly a week before his grandmother Karren's birthday. Sophia marked her mother's birthday at the time and Karren later teased that it was "extra special" because of the new addition to the family.

Sophia shared a photo of herself cradling her baby whilst sat beside Karren at a restaurant. The trio were joined by Frankie and Karren's husband Paul Peschisolido, 53. It was suggestged in the caption that Karren will be referred to as "nanny" in the family, with Sophia writing: "Happy birthday mommy/nanny. Baby's first outing." When Karren shared the post, she added: "It's an extra special birthday this year."

The Apprentice aide Karren later shared an update on the companion show You're Hired. After being congratulated on the new arrival, she said in April: "He is the most beautiful little boy in the world and my daughter is a natural mother. Mother and baby are doing so well." She added whilst on the BBC show: "I am so proud of her and her family."

Karren had previously discussed the pregnancy whilst on ITV's Loose Women in November last year. She said: "I'll tell you what's incredible: when your baby is having a baby. It's just an incredible feeling. I mean, Sophia is such a kind-spirited, wonderful person." Karren added: "She's gonna make a fabulous mother - she's so happy and so excited."
