The most viewed James Bond film of all time has been revealed, and it's not the recent No Time to Die or the classic Goldfinger.
As fans eagerly anticipate the announcement of the new James Bond film this year - along with the reveal of who will succeed Daniel Craig as the next 007 agent - one wonders which of the 25 beloved James Bond films in the franchise is the most popular.
According to data from Betway, Skyfall from 2012 takes the crown as the best of all time. It outperformed Daniel Craig's latest and final Bond appearance in No Time to Die, as well as classics like GoldenEye, On Her Majesty's Service, and Goldfinger.
The study calculated the popularity of each Bond film by considering factors such as release dates, IMDb ratings, global box office figures, and Reddit sentiments and comments.
Skyfall emerged as the most-watched Bond film overall, boasting a viewer rating of 7.8 and a solid 12% share of 10/10 ratings. In terms of worldwide box office stats, the film also topped the list with £1182.84 million.
Goldfinger, the third James Bond movie released in 1964 with Sean Connery as Bond, came in second place. It earned an IMDb rating of 7.7 and also had 12% of 10/10 ratings overall.
While another Daniel Craig hit, Casino Royale, secured the third spot on the list. The 2006 film boasts the highest IMDb rating of any James Bond film at eight, along with the highest percentage of 10/10 ratings (15%).
Sean Connery's From Russia With Love and Dr. No were not far behind. Despite No Time to Die - Craig's final outing as Bond in 2021 - not making it into the top five, the film led the pack with the most Reddit comments of any James Bond movie.
Pierce Brosnan's GoldenEye and Roger Moore's The Spy Who Loved Me also made a strong showing. On Her Majesty's Service, The Living Daylights and For Your Eyes Only just managed to squeeze into the top 12.

This comes follows the reports Scots actor Stuart Martin is in 'serious contention' to be the next 007 agent. Stuart is known for his roles in the Channel 4 show Babylon and historical dramas such as Medici: Masters of Florence, Jamestown and Miss Scarlet and the Duke.
Now, he has reportedly been in 'under the radar' chats with Eon Productions, with sources claiming he is in 'serious contention' to take on the iconic spy agent part.
Despite not being as well known as the other stars in the rumour mill for the role, it appears to be his tough guy role of Bradley Cage in Zack Snyder’s 2021 heist comedy Army of Thieves which has sparked the Bond interest, thanks to his impressive shoot out scenes which involved throwing himself at vehicles in high-octane stunts.
This would make it the second time a Scottish actor has portrayed the iconic James Bond in the spy film series, following Sean Connery, who was the first to take on the role in 1962.
