After what Prince William has described as a "brutal" year, there were smiles all around as the British royals stepped out on Christmas morning. King Charles led members of his family to morning service at St. Mary Magdalene Church. The Princess of Wales shined like a star on top of a Christmas tree as she greeted well-wishers after the service on Wednesday. Her and Prince William's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, also charmed the crowds.

On Radio Marsden back in 2021, Prince William said that for him, “bringing the family together at Christmastime is always lovely because we’re quite spread out doing our things a lot of time during the year. So, we get very few moments to actually come together.”

“And when I see my children meet up with my cousins’ children, and they all have a wonderful time playing together. It’s very special. I look forward to that a lot. Obviously, Christmas is a new dynamic when you have children. Suddenly it’s a whole different ballgame of noise and excitement,” the Prince of Wales added. “I’m enjoying the new version of Christmas in my life.”

Ahead of Christmas, it was reported that Princess Beatrice, who is pregnant with her second child, had changed her holiday plans due to medical advice. She was reportedly set to spend the festive period with her in-laws. Instead, she, her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, her stepson Christopher Woolf and daughter Sienna (not pictured) celebrated Christmas at Sandringham.

According to the Daily Mail, a woman, who had worked for Macmillan Cancer Support, told the Princess of Wales, "I just wanted to say you are an inspiration to all the patients."

"The amount of people who have written this year is extraordinary and I think cancer just really does resonate with so many families," Her Royal Highness replied.
