The Real Housewives of London is coming, mate!
The announcement dropped during the “Real Housewives” Panel at the Hayu FanFest in London which was hosted by Andy Cohen.
The Real Housewives of London is Hayu’s first original series. (Hayu is a UK based streaming service that is owned by NBCUniversal and exclusively plays reality tv.)
The series is set to be produced by Monkey, the company behind the iconic British reality series Made in Chelsea.
About The Real Housewives of London
“Tonight’s announcement of ‘The Real Housewives of London’ is Hayu’s first-ever commission of an original series and yet another key milestone in the growth story of our all-reality streaming service,” Hendrik McDermott said to Variety.
Hendrik is the managing director of Hayu and EMEA Networks and international direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal.
“It makes sense that such an iconic location in the U.K. – a core Hayu market – would feature into our strategy to further amplify our offering with original content that super-serves loyal fans. We look forward to being the exclusive home of this latest installment in the wildly popular ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise,” he concludes.
Casting is currently underway for The Real Housewives of London, with production set to begin in early 2025.
Hayu is currently unavailable to be streamed in the States. However, that doesn’t stop us from hoping Bravo and Peacock take notice of the buzz surrounding this announcement. Or another streamer, any streamer. We aren’t picky at this point!
Who could forget how fabulous Ladies of London was??
Speaking of Ladies of London, I’m curious what Caroline Stanbury thinks about this news. I have to imagine she’s punching the air having moved to the other side of the world for The Real Housewives of Dubai.
Do you think Caroline Stanbury will be in running for this new franchise?
