The Red Magic 10 Pro+ just absolutely crushed its benchmarks

1 week ago 3

The RedMagic 10 Pro and 10 Pro+ are just weeks away from release, but we’re still learning tasty little nuggets of information about both models. As a dedicated gaming phone, we expected it to be a powerful device, but according to a leaked benchmark scorecard, this thing is like Thanos with all five Infinity Stones. Supposedly.

AnTuTu 10 is a free benchmarking application for Android devices that lets you test the performance of the phone and the speed of its storage. The RedMagic 10 Pro+ scored an unbelievable 3102960 points, which puts it roughly in the 99% percentile for phones, according to GSMArena. While this score is promising, I’m not convinced; multiple AnTuTu benchmarks have been faked before, so I’ll reserve judgement until the phone is in my hands.

In fact, the score is actually a little bit below the previous numbers that the RedMagic 10 Pro+ earned. The benchmarks did reveal a few things we didn’t know, though. The RedMagic 10 Pro and 10 Pro+ both run the Snapdragon 8 Elite “Extreme Edition.” It has eight Oryon cores and sports an Adreno 830- GPU.

The RedMagic model used for the benchmark is the most powerful option available, sporting either 16GB or 24GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. This kind of storage is quite fast, but still slower than an NVMe drive.

The next models in the RedMagic lineup are scheduled to launch globally on December 3rd. Previous entries in the RedMagic line have been performed extremely well, and with new mobile-compatible games releasing on a regular basis, it’s a good time to be a gamer.

Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro hands-on review: Even more bonkers

RedMagic 7 Pro cooling fan running.

The Nubia RedMagic 7 was one of the first smartphones featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 system on a chip to debut in the U.S. The Pro variant has now hit the shelves with the same processor, display, and camera, as well as a bunch of internal upgrades to help you game better. If you are someone who is in the market for a gaming smartphone, the RedMagic 7 Pro is here to grab your attention.
RedMagic 7 Pro design: It's a looker

I consider gaming smartphones to push the limits of what a rectangular slab of a smartphone is capable of looking like. The RedMagic 7 Pro is no different.  My unit, dubbed the Supernova, features a transparent design at the back, while the front houses an under-display selfie shooter – both of which make it a unique proposition.

OnePlus 10 Pro vs. iPhone 13 Pro camera test is very one-sided

OnePlus 10 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro seen from the back.

The OnePlus 10 Pro has the second generation of Hasselblad’s special software for mobile cameras, and we’ve been impressed with some of the results already. However, the real test comes when we put it up against other very capable phones. Over the past week, I’ve carried both the OnePlus 10 Pro and the Apple iPhone 13 Pro around and snapped photos with both. Now we can see which one takes the best photos.
The cameras
Before we address the photos, we should see how the two cameras differ when it comes to hardware. The iPhone 13 Pro has three 12-megapixel cameras for main, wide-angle, and telephoto duties. The main camera has an f/1.5 aperture, dual optical image stabilization (OIS), a seven-element lens, Smart HDR 4, and Apple’s Deep Fusion technology. The telephoto shoots at 3x optical zoom, and the wide-angle camera has a 120-degree field-of-view.

The OnePlus 10 Pro has a 48MP Sony IMX789 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a seven-element lens, OIS, and Hasselblad for Mobile software. It’s joined by a 50MP wide-angle camera capable of an up to 150-degree field-of-view, plus an 8MP telephoto camera with OIS and a 3.3 optical zoom. On the front of the iPhone is another 12MP camera, while the OnePlus 10 Pro has a 32MP selfie camera.

Honor pulls the Magic4 Pro out of its hat at MWC 2022

Honor Magic4 Pro colors.

Honor’s Magic4 and Magic4 Pro smartphones are the company’s big flagship phones for 2022, and have been announced at Mobile World Congress, the industry trade show taking place in Barcelona, Spain, this week. These two phones are packed with camera technology, the latest Qualcomm processor, and Google Mobile Services, making them very exciting. We just hope the opportunity will come for global fans to actually buy one.
Price and availability
Honor hasn't provided a final release date or any indication of availability for the Magic4 Pro or Magic4, but it has said how much they will cost. The Magic4 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space will be 1,099 euros which is around $1,227, and the Magic4 with the same memory specs will cost 899 euros, or about $1,005. Honor's only indication of when the Magic4 phones will be available is sometime between the end of March and the end of June this year.
Magic4 Pro
The Magic4 follows the Magic3 series announced by Honor in mid-2021, and despite it being called a global launch at the time, the devices have not made it out of China yet. Now it seems likely that the Magic3 will be quickly forgotten as Honor focuses on the Magic4, but the lack of final release details makes us a little concerned the same fate awaits it.

Let’s look at the devices in detail, starting with the Honor Magic4 Pro. Like the Magic3, it is styled using Honor’s distinctive "Eye of Muse" camera module design on the back, where four sensors surround the central main camera inside a circular housing, making it look a bit like an eye. There are three cameras in total, a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50MP 122-degree wide angle camera, and a 64MP periscope zoom camera with a 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The array also has a time-of-flight sensor and a flicker sensor.
