The health and fitness expert, Jane Fonda, is known for her peculiarities when it comes to feet but it goes so much deeper than a passing interest as the 86-year-old refuses to date anyone with toes she doesn't like.
The Walk on the Wild Side star loves to make sure she cares for her feet and she also seemingly uses that as a chance to judge prospective partners, in the same sort of philosophy as looking at a man's shoes to understand them.
"If she dares to go on a date or meets an interesting younger man at a dinner party," a source told Mega, as per RadarOnline.com. "She must see his feet. If he doesn't take care of them, and she'll know at one glance, she won't even consider seeing him again.
"She's obsessed with keeping her feet in the best shape possible and indulges Epsom salt and peppermint oil foot baths on a regular basis, plus she gets foot massages check-ups.
"The money she spends on footwear is incredible, but money's no object as long as it maintains optimum health."
Foot health the key to Fonda success
Fonda will also refuse to wear certain types of shoes, although this is far more reasonable as the 86-year-old finds pointed shoes and high heels discomforting at her age as she elects to only wear sneakers instead.
However, there is one exception to that rule, says the source. Fans can spot the elderly woman in some $600 sneaker-hybrid heels created by Sara Blakely because she actually finds those ones comfortable.
And finally some good advice that we can all take into account from the expert is that she regularly changes her socks to that she can avoid poor foot hygiene, which can impact mobility as well as confidence.
"Jane also changes her socks during the day to stave off infections and other foot problems," the source concluded.
