Addison Rae is baring it all! The 24-year-old singer has dropped the music video for “Aquamarine / Arcamarine,” a collaboration with Venezuelan musician Arca, and the world seriously is her oyster.
The music video dropped on Friday, November 14, a few weeks after she originally dropped the addictive track, “Aquamarine.” In the new music video, the TikTok-turned-musician can be seen in a tropical setting, while sporting itsy bitsy bikini’s — dancing and posing on the back of a truck, in the middle of the road and sitting in the ocean.
Following the video’s release, which was filmed and directed by her best friend Lexee Smith, Addison posted a sweet tribute to her “Arcamarine” collaborators on Instagram.
“Thank you again, Arca, for being an essential part of an electrically special moment in time,” she wrote as the caption. “I admire you and your ability to challenge and inspire the world fearlessly. I feel sexy and free when I listen to this. You create magic.🦋 This song/video is profoundly special to me in more ways than one. There is something deeply moving and soul baring about seeing yourself through the lens of your best friend. Lexee, you already know how I feel about you and your unmatched eye for the hidden secrets of life. A true artist who knows no limits. You inspire me daily.”
“I’m so lucky. I’m so blessed. The world is my oyster,” she added.
Addison first shared the news of her “Aquamarine” single in October 2024, a few months after her hit “Diet Pepsi” first blessed out ears. After sharing the new single news, constant collaborator and friend Charli XCX reposted Addison’s new single announcement on X, and wrote: “she. is. a. f—king. genius.”
The Brat creator has been pivotal in shaping Addison’s musical journey, with the “Diet Pepsi” singer giving Charli a lot of credit to building her “confidence.”
Charli, for her part, spoke about how “eloquent” of a songwriter Addison is during a March 2024 podcast appearance on Jake Shane‘s show “Therapuss.’
“She writes exactly like me, when I work with her it’s like working with myself,” Charli said, adding that Addison is very hands-on, in addition to having “really, really good taste.” She also continued by saying that Addison is growing as a songwriter and that anyone who’s worked with her has been “beyond impressed by her work ethic and determination to learn” because “she has such a thirst for knowledge.”
