Georgina told us: “Buns effectively keep hair out of the face and neck and you can dress them up or down.

They can be ideal for wedding looks or when you attend events as they are practical and functional. You can move around and the hair will still look perfectly in place.

She added: You can equally also exercise, work, cooking, or any situation where loose hair could appear disruptive but elegant.”

The hair expert claimed that she would start by using a GHD tong to place some waves throughout the hair to create both “movement and texture”.

If need to add to your styling tools then click here to buy the GHD Curve Classic Curl Tong - it is £156 from Look Fantastic. It has rave reviews with one user saying: “I love this curler it's really nice - curls stay in all day long! I highly recommend it.”

Georgina added “You need to make sure the hair has texture so after you curl it you must add a styling paste once curled.

She recommended you buy the Kevin Murphy Style Free Hold Medium Hold Styling Paste from All Beauty. You can buy it here now for £15.

Georgina said that it: “Helps create a lived-in, tousled look when worn down but it adds light volume, body, and a matte finish to hair and this can help create the texture you need for this updo.

Depending on how thick your natural hair is you may need to use a chignon padding for the bun area.”

She continued that you must: “Leave out the font section with a centre part to softly tuck behind the ear makes this look softer and not so done.”

To complete the look she said you must use the Kevin Murphy Shimmer Shine as it is a light-reflective technology that gives a “glossy finish for easy styling without leaving an oily residue.”

You can buy it here now for £33 if you click here – it comes in a 100ml bottle.

Georgina said that it will also add lustre to dull hair while also controlling flyaway from heat tools. She also shared that when it comes to locking in the hold you should use a lightweight finishing spray as it allows the hair to move but stay firmly in place.
