TikTok star Breckie Hill releases video addressing Barry Keoghan 'cheating rumours'

Social media influencer and girl at the heart of the Barry Keoghan 'cheating' scandal has finally posted a video addressing the rumours that she was the true reason behind the Hollywood pairs 'break'.

The 21-year-old TikTok star shared a three minute long video talking about the drama, including the theories that she was referencing the Saltburn actor whilst reviewing margaritas on a night out with friends. There is no smoke without fire however as she also directly talks about reposting a video which 'outed' her as a 'homewrecker' between the Espresso singer and the Irish actor.

Breckie has built quite the following on TikTok and Instagram even before the recent highlighting of her into mainstream news. She gained 4.3 million followers on TikTok sharing lifestyle content like fashion and beauty.

But last week talk of her being behind an affair with the 32-year-old dad-of-one shot her to a world-wide name. The rumours intensified when Hill reposted videos addressing the allegations.

With one video declaring, “Trouble in paradise, it has been confirmed Barry cheated on Sabrina with TikTok Influencer @Breckie Hill.”

It took a further twist when internet sleuths put two and two together on a photo Breckie captioned "kinda salty" alongside a margarita, which some connected to Keoghan's smash film Saltburn. Another image showed a drink called “blackberry smash,” thought to reference Barry's first name.

Thirdly, Hill posted on Snapchat about visiting Boa Steakhouse on a night tied to the rumours.

And last night on Saturday, December 7, it seems that Barry could take no more, and deactivated his Instagram account before sharing an emotional statement on Twitter.

Captioning the post "Please be respectful x", he wrote: "I can only sit and take so much. My name has been dragged across the interent in ways I usually don't respond too.

"I have to respond now because it's gettin to a place where there are too many lines being crossed. I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work.

"The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.

"Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for. Talking about how I was a heroine baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my grannies door.

"Sitting outside my baby boys house intimidating them. Thats crossing a line.

"Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy. I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what.

"I need you to remeber he has to read ALL of this about his father when he is older. Please be respectful to all

"Thank u x"

And in the next chapter of the saga, Breckie released her own statement just hours after Barry dropped his. She posted a video on her TikTok account that has so far amassed nearly 500,000 views at time of writing.

Titled 'Addressing everything', she started by saying how she'd just broken her spine in a skiing accident, and had actually been watching all the drama unfold from a hospital room. She even claimed that she had never met Barry.

Breckie said: "Hi guys, I just recently got out of the hospital. I don't know if you guys know but I got into a skiing accident and I broke my spine."

"When I tell you, every single move I make hurts," she said before showing the camera a full body cast underneath her clothes.

She continued: "But now that I'm out of the hospital I just wanted to make this video and address these rumours that have been circulating all throughout the internet."

"To put it simply, no I did not get with Barry, I have never even encountered this man in my life. The only time I've seen him is on my TV screen from watching Saltburn.

"I reposted this video that showed up on my for you page claiming that I was homewrecking Sabrina Carpenter's relationship just simply because I thought it was so ridiculous.

"I'm sorry but if I really was the one getting with Barry, why in the world would I be reposting about it? What I will say though is coming from someone who has been cheated on in several different relationships I would never want to home wreck any relationship or put any girl through that pain - ever, ever.

"But as far as the video goes that I reposted I was at Boa Steakhouse with my friends getting dinner and I decided to review drinks on my Snapchat and one of the drinks I was reviewing was a margarita and I think I gave the margarita like a six out of ten because I said it was 'too salty'. Someone I guess took that the wrong way and thought I was making a Saltburn reference after finding out that Barry was staying at a hotel near Boa, I don't even know like this whole story is so crazy to me.

"And then another drink I was reviewing happened to be called a 'blackberry smash' on the Boa Steakhouse menu, which this person then thought was also a Barry reference. This thing is so crazy to me but I was truly just reposting these videos just laying in a hospital bed thinking how crazy it is that someone would think that I was homewrecking Sabrina, THE Sabrina Carpenter's relationship.

"Me homewrecking her relationship? That would just never happen."

Breckie then went on to say that the recent experiences she has gone through, she has "never gone through a worse time" in her life.

"Now that has all been said, I just want to say I have never gone through a worse time in my life." She said, "Whilst having a broken back and just constantly being told the worst possible things that you can imagine. It's just gotten really bad. So hopefully this clears things up and I hope you guys have an amazing night."

Before signing off she gave people a reminder to "be kind" and not believe everything they see on the internet.

"Oh, and one more thing, I hope that we can all stop spreading rumours so quickly and tearing other people down. Um especially without knowing the facts," she concluded, "I would say that almost a majority of things that are said on the internet are not true so if there is anything you take away from this I would say take everything you see on the internet with a grain of salt.
