Titanic fans are just spotting major mistake in film they 'can't unsee' and it's a key scene

A Titanic superfan has pointed out a mistake that made the final cut, and now lovers of James Cameron's iconic movie 'can't unsee it'.

Starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, the award-winning movie tells the love story between wealthy Rose DeWitt Bukater and third class passenger, Jack Dawson, aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic.

Released in 1997, the film has maintained a loyal following, with some viewers rewatching it on the regular.

Titanic's budget was $200 million - making it one of the most expensive films ever made at the time - and you can certainly see that in the huge sets.

To make them seem even bigger, director James Cameron hired 'short extras' during the ship's sinking, which also saved them a couple of quid as well.

However, as meticulous as the behind-the-scenes process can be, some things can slip through the cracks, as even the staunchest Titanic fans were surprised to spot one mistake in a key scene of the movie.

TikToker Raf Avila recently highlighted how the film has a small mistake hidden in it. He focused on a particular scene shot from Jack's POV as he, clad in a tux, made his entrance to first class and walks through a glass door en route to dinner.

The sequence sees a crew member opening the door for Jack, clearly mistaking him for a rich passenger.

And if you look closely, a mistake can ruin the illusion of seeing the moment play out through DiCaprio's character's eyes.

"We all know the scene when Jack is getting ready to go to dinner. Now, I want you to pay close attention to the door and tell me if you spot anything here," Avila begun in the clip.

"So, Jack is going into the grand staircase - but did you spot anything?

"You can clearly see a cameraman right there in the window for all to see. Did you ever notice that? Now you're going to notice that all of the time."

And fans certainly couldn't unsee it, with some of the commenters sharing their surprise at noticing the blip for the first time.

"I watch the Titanic like three times a month and I never notice any of these," one person wrote.

"How did you see that? " a second user asked, then saying: "Oops! Jack made a mistake."

Meanwhile, a third said: "It took me three times to see it," while a fourth commented: "Omg how can I not see this."

Finally, someone else defended the movie, pointing out the unavoidable nature of the error in question, arguing: "There's literally no way to avoid that."

It's not just Titanic movie super-sleuths have spotted mistakes in either - both Twilight and Squid Game also have one or two mistakes.
