Before she entered the castle, she told the BBC she was on a mission to disprove misconceptions that she's a 'ditzy blonde' who 'just make things look pretty.' She continued: 'what I do involves a lot of engineering and architecture. Sometimes people assume I’m one thing but actually there are different layers, and I like to surprise people.'

Francesca is an interior designer from East Sussex. She describes herself as a 'very good judge of character', a skill she developed when she trained as an actress before going on to set up her own interior design business. She hopes these skills will come in handy around the notorious roundtable.

'I’ve developed these skills through times of being a single mum, as well as having to work with large groups of people and deal with clients across the commercial, private and residential sector who vary quite a lot. You can always suss out a fibber. If I think someone's really telling lies, then I will call them out and say, that's not the case,' she says.

Like many of the other contestants, Francesca was a fan of The Traitors UK before she decided to sign up. She says she watched the second series 'avidly' and thought: 'I could be quite good at that.'

'I've got four sons, and I think they just see me as mum, and that I do Interior Design - I don't think they even realise what that involves. I believe they literally think I just plump cushions and hang some curtains. I also entered the competition on a personal level which was I really wanted to challenge myself. I suppose part of me wants to show my sons that anything's possible,' she says.

Francesca is a Faithful. She told the BBC that, if chosen as a Faithful in the casting process, her tactics would be to 'observe quite a lot', based on what she's picked up from watching the previous series of the show.

'The ones who were asking a lot of questions got murdered quickly. I think you’ve got to read the room a bit and distinguish between the strong characters and the quieter people and find out where you fit into that,' she says. 'If I was a Faithful, I’d befriend people as much as possible so there's a bit of teamwork and understanding of who you might think that the traitors are. But if I suspected someone as being a Traitor, I might befriend them a little bit to get to know them. If I thought they were lying, I’d call them out.'

Did Francesca join The Traitors UK late?

Viewers were left confused on the second episode of the show, after Francesca appeared to show up on our screens for the first time. Francesca was shown having a conversation with Leanne and Livi, before featuring at breakfast and the roundtable in episode two. Some fans went as far to question whether Frankie was an original contestant, while others speculated that she'd showed update.

However, we can confirm Frankie was an OG Traitors contestant. It turns out that, because of the way the show is edited to fit its one-hour format, she simply just did not get a lot of screen time.
