Travis Barker's children, Alabama and Landon, were among approximately 30,000 residents who evacuated their homes in Los Angeles due to a massive wildfire in the Pacific Palisades area. The fire, fuelled by 100 mph winds, has consumed nearly 3,000 acres, prompting evacuation orders for neighbourhoods including Malibu and Santa Monica.

Alabama, 19, shared on Instagram: "Just evacuated from my home due to wildfires in Los Angeles, please be safe! They are saying the fires are spreading football field amounts in seconds.” Landon, 21, posted: "Just evacuated praying for everyone the fires have affected”

The 49-year-old Blink 182 drummer and his kids, Alabama and Landon live in a mansion in Calabasas, California, worth approximately $10 million. In 2024. the musician's wife Kourtney Kardashian reportedly moved in, blending their families under one roof.

It is believed many celebrities are among those who have had to evacuate due to the wildfires. Pacific Palisades is a celebrity enclave, home to Chris Pratt, Reese Witherspoon and Miles Teller among other Hollywood A-listers. Even more celebrities call nearby Calabasas and Pasadena home, including the rest of the Kardashians.

Stars such as Mark Hamill, Spencer Pratt, and his wife, Heidi Montag have also evacuated their homes. In an Instagram post, Mark wrote: “7pm - Evacuated Malibu so last-minute there were small fires on both sides of the road as we approached PCH. 8:15pm - Marilou, Trixie & I arrive at Chelsea’s house in Hollywood. Most horrific fire since ‘93, STAY SAFE!”

The fires have destroyed multi-million dollar mansions and caused widespread power outages, affecting approximately 200,000 people. Emergency services are working tirelessly to contain the fires. As shown in Spencer’s Instagram story, helicopters are actively battling the flames from the sky. However, the situation remains critical, with dry conditions and strong winds making it even more difficult to control the fires.

Gavin Newsom, governor of California, said he "saw firsthand the impact of these swirling winds and the embers" and he added he found "not a few — many structures already destroyed". He declared a state of emergency on Tuesday. The National Weather service warned the windstorm - likely to continue for days - could be "life threatening" and the strongest to hit Southern California in more than a decade.

Mr Newsom, serving as governor of California since 2019, added: "By no stretch of the imagination are we out of the woods," as he explained more than 28,000 households were without power due to the strong winds.

But properties have already been reduced to rubble in the area from Malibu to Calabasas in California. Cars are destroyed and, otherwise, stranded - with some people abandoning their vehicles and fleeing the scenes of carnage on foot. Residents have been pictured toting suitcases as they dashed to find safety.

Kelsey Trainor, who lives in the area, said the only road in and out of her neighbourhood was completely blocked. Ash fell all around them while fires burned on both sides of the street. She added: "We looked across and the fire had jumped from one side of the road to the other side of the road. People were getting out of the cars with their dogs and babies and bags, they were crying and screaming. The road was just blocked, like full-on blocked for an hour."
