Travis Kelce can't let Taylor Swift down after taking on new role at Thanksgiving

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are gearing up for their second Thanksgiving as a couple, though unlike last year, they are set to actually spend it together.

Although they were already dating prior to last year's holiday, they weren't able to spend it together given that Swift was in South America for her Eras Tour.

This year Swift has an open weekend given she isn't back on tour until next weekend, though Travis is gearing up for a game on Friday which sees his Kansas City Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders.

That isn't stopping the couple from spending Thanksgiving together, and it appears Travis is going to have a special role in the kitchen for the occasion.

"Taylor is spending the holiday with Travis and several family members," a source told DailyMail.com.

"Taylor and Travis are both grateful to have the day off so that they can just really relax and enjoy their second Thanksgiving together."

The outlet notes that Taylor will be cooking up a feast for the group, while Travis will be helping out with the clean-up.

"Taylor really enjoys cooking and is already prepping tomorrow's big meal," the source said. "Travis loves her food and is on dishes duty this year."

Taylor relaxing before final leg of Eras Tour

The day will likely come as welcome distraction for Swift, who is gearing up for the final leg of her Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada next week.

An insider says that Swift has been leaning on Kelce in recent times as she processes the end of the record-breaking tour which has spanned 149 shows and two years on the road.

"This is such an emotional time for her already, but she is so thankful for everything that she has, and has worked for this year," the insider said.

"This tour has been her life and the people on the tour have been her family and as it draws to a close, she has been super emotional - leaning on Travis and her family more than ever."

It appears part of Swift's anxiety stems from the fact she doesn't know what she'll do with her time once the tour wraps up.

"She is such a busy body. She knows she must just take some time to enjoy her successes, but she really doesn't know what to do to fill her time aside from writing songs," the insider added.

"Taylor cannot be bored and doesn't really know what she is going to do with her time."
