Travis Kelce brushed off Lil Wayne’s unfounded claims that the Kansas City Chiefs cheated in their victorious playoff game against the Houston Texans over the weekend.
On Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast, Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, recapped the Saturday match, in which the Chiefs defeated the Texans 23-14.
“The whole world was talking about something else during the game, and I’m sure you saw some of this, but they were complaining about the refs again, Trav,” Jason said.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, explained that the “Lollipop” rapper was one of the online haters accusing the NFL franchise of a sporty swindle.
“I hate the cheating azz chiefs,” Weezy, 42, wrote on X Jan. 18.
“Even Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne [wrote on social media], ‘I hate the cheating a– Chiefs. So an a– with two z’s,” Jason said, razzing the hip-hop star for his misspelled word.
Travis, 35, reacted with a hearty laugh, saying, “Shout-out to Tunechi, man!”
Jason went on to read off some of the hilarious comments Wayne received for his commentary.
“Literally folks will see s–t like this and say ‘yup just like i thought. Refs vs. Texans’ lol. Bro the Texans left the all time leading playoffs receiver wide booty butt nekkid open for 4 quarters and yet the Chiefs needed those calls,” the X post stated.

The tight end cracked up at the quip, telling Jason, “Wide booty butt nekkid open. They did. They left me butt-naked open.”
Wayne had doubled down on his claim over the weekend, writing in a separate X post, “It’s not even impressive when u cheat and then clearly try to cheat. Just win baby.”
The “A Milli” artist is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan despite being from New Orleans, La., which is the location for this year’s Super Bowl.
Wayne insinuated that the Chiefs’ game against the Texans had been rigged shortly after Travis’ team came out on top.
Taylor Swift showed up to the game in head-to-toe Chanel to cheer for her boyfriend from a private suite at Arrowhead Stadium while seated next to WNBA star Caitlin Clark.
Travis’ exciting win secured the team’s spot in the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills this coming Sunday. The winning team will play in the 2025 Super Bowl next month.
The Chiefs won last year’s NFL championship game, marking the third time Travis has earned a Super Bowl ring. He also won the Super Bowl the previous year and in 2020.
