Travis Scott delivered a performance at the College Football Playoff National Championship final Halftime Show, and with it, he debuted a new song.
You can watch a preview of "4x4" below, where Scott performed it on top of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
For the Halftime Show of the Notre Dame and Ohio State game, Scott performed after teasing it in the lead-up to the final. During the performance, La Flame surprised fans with his new song "4x4," his first new solo material since he dropped his No. 1 album Utopia in 2023.
The song is expected to arrive on streaming services and Travis Scott's official website for purchase later on Monday, with all proceeds from the song going towards relief for the devastating wildfires in Southern California. In the days since the wildfires began on Jan. 7, over 12,000 homes, buildings, and structures have been destroyed and over 25 people have been killed.
It's unclear if the song will be a one-off single to support the wildfire relief efforts, or if it's a preview of what's to come from the highly-anticipated Utopia follow-up. Last year, he told Cultured magazine that he's been back in the studio in "album mode," so there's a chance that "4x4" is our first taste of Scott's currently untitled fifth studio album.
Later this month, several major stars are uniting for a wildfire relief concert entitled FireAid. Among the performers are Billie Eilish and Finneas, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Katy Perry, Joni Mitchell, and Stevie Nicks.
