Tulisa Contostavlos has spoken out following her decision to jet back to England and snub the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! final.

It is custom for the series stars to reunite on the final to see one of their fellow campmates be crowned King or Queen of the jungle. However, after being eliminated from the show in third place, N-Dubz singer Tulisa decided not to stay in Australia with her co-stars and headed on a flight back to England.

The 36-year-old avoided being photographed at Manchester airport by using a private terminal so as not to be seen by paparazzi.

She sparked concern amongst fans by deleting all her Instagram posts from her time in camp and refused to appear on ITV spin off series Unpacked to discuss her jungle experience. Rumours she had fallen out with her pals who had flown out to support her began to circulate, with Tulisa insisting she needed some time out.

Now hours before Coleen Rooney, Reverend Richard Coles or Danny Jones will be announced as the winner of Series 2024, Tulisa has made a shock return to Instagram.

The star said the last few days had been a 'whirlwind' and apologised for missing the celebrations with her fellow cast members.

She penned: "Looking back at some of my favourite moments from the @Imacelebrity jungle. It’s been a whirlwind. Thank you to @itv for the experience and sending so much love to my Jungle Fam before the final tonight. Sorry I can’t be there to celebrate with you all."

Tulisa then shared a series of pictures of her time in camp after previously saying she was unhappy with the way her friends had posted about her experience while taking care of her social media pages during her stint in Australia.

Deleting all their efforts, Tulisa said hours after leaving: "I'm just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle and then, when the time is right and I've had time to process, I'm going to make my own reels of my best bits that I really like. Because remember, I haven't been doing my Instagrams. The way it's being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would do my Insta - I would have one or two really good reels relating to the jungle and bringing my time together there."

Fans speculated if Tulisa had fallen out with her friend Michelle who came to meet her on the bridge (

She was supported by her friend in camp Dean McCullough who immediately replied telling the absent star: "We love you. You are with us in spirit my babe and can’t wait to see you when we get home xxxx"

Maura Higgins also took the time to reply, writing: "Miss you wanna squeeze you love you."

Another fan asked: "Why did you leave before the celebrations ? Same question everyone is asking..."

However, others took a more supportive approach telling the singer: "You were so amazing in there, but it’s been hard on you too. Do what you have to do for you, you own no explanations to anyone. Take care of yourself."

Fans had spotted Tulisa looking visibly shocked when she was the third campmate to be voted out this series. She told hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on her departure that it had been a “tough” experience.

“I just think you’re going to be more grateful for everything…just makes you very appreciative for life, you don’t realise how good you’ve got it,” the 36-year-old said. She described the experience as a “whirlwind”, adding: “I can’t believe what I just did.”

During her time in the camp, Contostavlos said her life “fell apart” after she was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs in 2013.

The charges against the musician were later dismissed after prosecution witness “fake sheikh” journalist Mazher Mahmood was found guilty of tampering with evidence, during her 2014 trial.

Meanwhile, she also labelled herself demisexual, saying she needs a “really close emotional bond with someone” and revealing she has been celibate “for over three years”.

This is a breaking news story.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! final airs at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITV on Sunday.
