Made in Chelsea’s former star, Rosie Fortescue, is now making her TV comeback on Beyond Chelsea, alongside Lucy Watson and Binky Felstead. She’s also lifting the lid on rumors MIC “set up drama” for ratings.
Following claims from Spencer Matthews that Made in Chelsea producers would pay cast members bonuses if they caused drama, Rosie Fortescue is shutting down any rumors of setting up dramatics.
Rosie Fortescue denies Made In Chelsea ‘set up drama’
Looking back on her Made in Chelsea days, Rosie Fortescue says storylines “definitely weren’t set up by producers”, contrary to popular belief. She told Heat: “Producers didn’t set anything up at all.”
She continued: “Obviously, you’re watching a show that’s constructed reality. So, the scenes are set up, and it’s edited really well [with] the music and the tension and the dramatics in that way.
“But it was very much real in the majority of the cases. I mean, I set some records straight on this show about stuff,” Fortescue added, but did say the scenes were “set up” to focus on existing drama.

Rosie is shedding light on how storylines were mostly the fault of a Made in Chelsea cast member themselves. She added: “The drama was created by the person who cheated on their boyfriend or who did something.”
This can be seen from the epic episodes themselves.
During Fortescue’s time on the show, Spencer Matthews cheated on her best friend, Louise Thompson, and told his then-girlfriend, “How can I respect you when you allow me to cheat on you?” Then, Millie Mackintosh outed Rosie at a MIC party for sleeping with her then-ex, Hugo Taylor. She said, “A second toast to my best friend Rosie for hooking up with Hugo Taylor when we were together and lying.”
She returns for Beyond Chelsea
Rosie wanted to return to E4 after seven years away from screens, and is set to star on Beyond Chelsea. She said: “For me, the show was shot very differently and it’s not set up scenes like Made in Chelsea was.”
‘It was a fun opportunity to do something a bit different. It wasn’t all about the drama this time, it was just a good insight into our lives. And I think why not set some records straight as well?” she added.
