TV survival expert Bear Grylls surprises diners as he's pictured at Scots restaurant

3 hours ago 2

TV adventurer Bear Grylls is known for his bizarre eating habit whilst in remote locations, but this week he swapped all that for something a little more comfortable – a tasty meal at a Scots eatery.

Survival expert Grylls, 50, was snapped after enjoying a meal at the Anchor Inn, in Garelochhead, on Tuesday.

The pub took to its social media pages to share the snap. They posted: “A very special thank you to Bear Grylls for stopping into the Anchor Inn for dinner tonight. It was a pleasure to have you! Hope to see you again soon.”

It remains unclear why the former SAS member was in the area.

Grylls currently serves as the Honorary Colonel of the Army Foundation College Harrogate.

The MoD's Garelochhead Training Area, a military training camp, and HMNB Clyde is a short distance away.
