Melanie Sykes has joined the chorus of voices against Masterchef's Gregg Wallace, who recently temporarily stepped down from the hit cooking show amidst swirling allegations of inappropriate behaviour, which he staunchly denies.
The TV and radio star, who graced Celebrity MasterChef in 2021, reportedly lodged an informal complaint regarding his conduct during filming, as per The Telegraph.
In her tell-all book Illuminated, released last year, she didn't mince words about her experience, stating: "The MasterChef experience continued to be an eye-opener, and some unprofessional behaviour on set was jaw-dropping."

Taking to her YouTube channel this week, Melanie elaborated: "Every time Gregg came over to the desk, I didn't really like him being around really because it's all about vibrations and energy." She also took a swipe at the Beeb in her video's description, slamming: "If production companies and channels facilitate unprofessionalism ie ignore it, they too are a massive part of the problem."
Furthermore, in her autobiography, she credits Gregg with pushing her towards her decision to ditch TV for good after he implied the show would boost her career.
"I didn't know what to say, so I smiled and said yes, but I was really thinking, 'Yes, you have finally helped me decide to end my television career once and for all'," she disclosed, reports OK!.
Melanie is among several celebrities, including Ulrika Jonsson and Kirstie Allsopp, who have spoken out about their encounters with Gregg, amid allegations from 13 individuals that are currently under investigation. Initially, Gregg denied the complaints against him, but has since issued a formal apology after comments over the weekend caused offence.
In a video posted to his Instagram stories on Monday, he said: "I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday and any upset I may have caused to a lot of people.
"I wasn't in a good headspace when I posted it, I've been under a huge amount of stress, a lot of emotion, I felt very alone, under siege yesterday when I posted it. It's obvious to me I need to take some time out, now while this investigation is under way. I hope you understand and I do hope you will accept this apology."
Gregg has denied the accusations against him. He is accused of making lewd comments to staff and celebrity guests on a number of shows over a 17-year period.
His lawyers have also said "it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature".
