Vin Diesel speaks out after he called out The Rock in ‘awkward’ moment at the Golden Globes

Vin Diesel has spoken out after he called out The Rock in an 'awkward' moment during the Golden Globes on Sunday (January 5).

From an 'intense' conversation between Nicole Kidman and Foster to Kathy Bates ripping up her acceptance speech, the Golden Globes were full of entertainment over the weekend.

While there were many viral moments from the show, there was one particular moment during proceedings where Vin Diesel had a particularly awkward moment with The Rock.

It all happened when Diesel, who is best known for starring the Fast & Furious franchise, took to the stage to present the prize for cinematic and box office achievement, which went to Wicked.

But ahead of doing so, he saw his former co-star Johnson in the audience and said: "Hey, Dwayne."

The camera then panned to the Jumanji actor who was seen smiling, but things seemed less cordial between the pair though, and fans watching were certainly quick to notice.

"That is what you call an awkward moment!" one person said of the short exchange.

"They [hate] each other," suggested another.

A third went on: "Lmao, the tension was real fr."

While a different person said: "Vin Diesel and the Rock face off at the Plot twist of the year?"

Diesel has since spoken out following the social media comments and it's safe to say there's no beef between the pair.

"All love… Always…" the actor wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of himself and The Rock.

Diesel and The Rock, aka Dwyane Johnson, has previously played out a dispute in the public eye.

It got so bad that Johnson reportedly only agreed to star in the 2017's The Fate of The Furious, the eighth instalment in the long-running franchise, on the condition that they didn't have any scenes together.

Johnson even took to Instagram on one occasion where he appeared to brand Diesel a 'candy ass' and said there were moments where his 'blood was boiling' on set.

"My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em," the actor said in a deleted post.

"My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t.

"The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.

"When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling—you’re right. #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses."

The Rock later apologised for those comments, admitting that he should have kept any disagreement private.
