Coleen Rooney reveals why she is glad she took part this year

Coleen Rooney admitted she forced herself to not pick up extra chores in the I'm A Celebrity campsite.

With four sons aged between 15 and 6 and a 39-year-old husband at home, the WAG sleuth has become accustomed to doing odd jobs and tidying-up to avoid getting into "moaning" matches - but she made a concerted effort to nip that behaviour in the bud while in the jungle. She told Joel Dommett and Sam Thompson on the final episode of I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked last night, that her experience on the show had helped her be more patient.

The 38-year-old explained: "Doing chores comes naturally to me, I can't be bothered with moaning, when a job needs doing I just do it. I had to stick to my chores but I just like to get on with it...I've learnt to be patient."

Coleen also shared the advice Wayne gave her before she jetted off to Australia for the show, and it's sure to resonate with any busy mum. He warned her "'don't take off in there", after she admitted she was concerned that she might "snap" at her campmates.

The chances of Coleen "snapping" were at their highest at the start of the series as she went cold turkey from alcohol, sugar and caffeine. Speaking on today's episode of Good Morning Britain, she revealed that it hadn't even crossed her mind to wean herself off the everyday vices before entering camp.

Speaking to Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley, Coleen admitted that she had been so focused on her family - husband Wayne, and their sons Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight and six-year-old Cass - that the prospect of going cold turkey from caffeine, sugar and alcohol hadn't crossed her mind - until the symptoms kicked in.

She told the presenters: "The first week I struggled, day three I had a headache. People were saying before I went in there, 'have you started weening yourself off caffeine, this and that..' I didn't do any of that.

"I focused on getting everything prepared before I went in the jungle to leave the boys that I didn't actually think about being in the jungle until I got there.

"When I got there, a few days in I was thinking what have I signed up for? What am I doing here? And then the headaches set in, obviously withdrawal from caffeine, sugar, alcohol and then the hunger because we didn't get the stars in the first week. The first week was a struggle but then it picked up after that."

Coleen added that while she adapted to jungle rations, she wasn't inspired to whip up any basic dishes when she gets home to the UK. She said: "We got used to the rice and beans in the end. I will never cook rice and beans again."

While speaking on the ITV daytime show, Coleen also revealed she was close to tears after she spoke to her footballer husband Wayne, 39, for the first time after four weeks apart.

"He just said how much he missed me, how proud he was, and he said the support back home has been unbelievable," she gushed. Coleen went on to adorably confess to Good Morning Britain : "He just can't wait to see me, and I can't wait to see him as well."
