WENDY Williams' brother is selling "Free Wendy" merchandise as he fights to move his famous sister home to her family in Florida.

In an exclusive video interview with The U.S. Sun, Tommy Williams, 57, opened up about his attempts to restore Wendy's health, and battle to free her from her guardianship.

He said he thoroughly enjoyed his time with his sister when she visited the Sunshine State last month to watch her only child, Kevin Hunter Jr, graduate from college.

"I'm very happy with the time that I spent with Wendy. I'm looking forward to future times, and ultimately, looking forward to her moving down here soon," Wendy's younger brother said.

"That's something that's been in my heart and her heart, and we know that everything's going to work itself through.

"And I have no doubt in my mind that it's going to happen, and it's going to happen in a good time and not a long, long time."

When asked if a move would mean Wendy's guardianship would be transferred from New York to Florida, Tommy said: "I guess we have to find out when that moment arrives."

As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Wendy was recently diagnosed with dementia, and previously diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage.

"We remain faithful that everything's going to be alright," Tommy assured.

"Wendy's a great person and...I know that great things are going to still occur for her in the great deal of life she has ahead of her.

"So we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, but I believe that everything's gonna be fine when she hits Florida.

"It's sunny down here, and it's great Vitamin D, and all the things Wendy needs," he added.

While the family holds out hope that they can be reunited with Wendy on a more permanent basis in Florida, Tommy insisted the former talk show host has showed immense improvement from her time on the difficult-to-watch Lifetime documentary, Where is Wendy Williams?

"It's a complete 180. She looks great, she sounds fantastic, beyond the old Wendy," Tommy said, adding that her "conversations, dialog, and spirits" have all improved.

Tommy said he still cannot pick up the phone to call her, and has to wait for her to call him.

"She has several heaps full of patience, and within the family, it's a very humbling experience, because we just can't call, can't reach out, can't say what's on our minds at the moment.

Being stripped of that right...is difficult.

"You check yourself and make sure that when you do have the opportunity to speak, you make sure you form your words correctly because the last thing I'm trying to do is have any conflict within the family."

FIGHT TO FREE WENDY

In his pursuit to bring awareness to Wendy's struggle, Tommy revealed he has launched "Free Wendy" merchandise, including coffee mugs and t-shirts.

"Hey, she's not free now, with her liberties, or with what she wants to do, so that idea was something that was a knee-jerk idea early on," he explained to The U.S. Sun.

Despite his initial energy to roll out the merchandise, Tommy claims life got in the way, and the project fell by the wayside.

He believes now is the time to promote the merchandise, since the public has gotten a good glimpse at the former Queen of Daytime TV from her recent trip to Florida.

Tommy said he first created the Free Wendy merchandise around the Lifetime docuseries, which was released in February of 2024, but that it was shelved till now.

"When I made them, I had them made with deliberation. I'm gonna do this, and I'm riding with my family."

"It was this visit, and the realities of, 'Hey we got a pulse, the world got a pulse of Wendy.' It wasn't because of me, it was because of her coming down [to Florida].

"It was all positive and that big bump right there and I guess it was the media, social media and everything.

"There's a lot of people that miss Wendy and love Wendy and who really appreciated her craft. She had a skill, a talent, she's an entertainer, and she's a person.

"So it's a feeling of expression through a garment. I'm really hoping people move forward with this movement, because it is a movement.

"Never do I want the guardianship or anybody to feel as though Wendy's being stuffed in a box - she's not.

"I don't know what anybody else's intentions are, but the family's intention is to always keep Wendy up high.

"It's an opportunity, and it's golden for us to do one thing that's going to give people a choice if you want to support Wendy. Here's how you can do it: T-shirts and mugs to represent your feelings," Tommy explained.

As The U.S. Sun previously exclusively revealed, Wendy attended her son Kevin Jr's graduation in Florida last month.

In photos and videos exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Wendy used an electric wheelchair to enter and exit the venue at Florida International University on December 19.

Her 24-year-old son appeared happy and at ease as he proudly took the stage.

Wendy Williams Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, Aphasia & Frontotemporal Dementia Diagnoses

By The U.S. Sun's Senior Reporter Jessica Finn, who has reported on Wendy Williams for the past seven years.

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage in 2019 during a rehab stint in Florida.

An insider explained that a brain scan was done as part of Wendy's rehab stay in Delray Beach.

A neurologist sat down with the star, her son, and her then-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr.

"The doctor explained to them that Wendy was suffering from alcohol-related brain damage.

"They told her that her alcohol abuse had done permanent damage to the layers in her brain," the insider said.

"She was warned then and there that if she continued to drink, the damage would only get worse."

In that meeting, they gave Wendy a devastating prognosis.

The doctors at the rehab foretold of the eventual decline of Wendy's cognitive abilities, which have become apparent to those who have come in contact with the star in recent years.

"They told her that if she kept drinking she would continue to grow more forgetful, that she wouldn't remember people's names, and eventually, she could forget who people even were," the source said.

After a comment call was sent to Wendy's team, they released a statement saying Wendy had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia in 2023.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances," the statement read.

Wendy was accompanied by her sister, Wanda Finne, and her 93-year-old father, Thomas Williams Sr.

The former Wendy Williams Show star grew emotional and shed tears as Kevin walked the stage to collect his diploma.

'PERMANENTLY INCAPACITATED'

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported the 60-year-old's guardian Sabrina Morrissey's legal team called the star "permanently incapacitated" in legal documents.

The label was revealed in the guardian's court battle with Lifetime over the docuseries Where is Wendy Williams?.

The guardian's filing called Wendy "an acclaimed entertainer who, tragically, has been afflicted by early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated."
