What Really Happened Between Kylie Jenner And Demi Moore At The Golden Globes

This year, Demi Moore caused a stir after she appeared to snub Kylie Jenner. Kylie was at the Golden Globes with Timotheé Chalamet, and the pair packed on plenty of PDA throughout the evening while rubbing shoulders with film stars, including Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro.

Demi, however, seemed less keen to buddy up with Kylie. After scooping the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy prize for her role in The Substance, a behind-the-scenes clip shows her coming over to Kylie's table to congratulate Elle. However, she appears to completely ignore Kylie, who attempts to join in the conversation.

Turning around in her chair, Kylie yells 'congrats!' to Demi, who briefly says 'thank you' before continuing her conversation with Elle. Demi then went over to Timotheé, who congratulated Demi. Although Kylie glanced at Demi several times, she didn't seem to stop and chat to her.

The clip quickly started doing the rounds on TikTok, with people taking to the comments to suggest that Demi was intentionally snubbing Kylie. 'She just ignored Kylie', one user wrote. Another said 'ouch Kylie' while a third wrote 'Did we just witness a kylie snubb here?' Another penned 'Kylie trying so hard to be a part of it haha.'

But it turns out this wasn't the case. Demi's daughter, Tallulah, has taken to social media, to stop any speculation that there is a feud. 'NIPPING THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD – we spent new years with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do,’ she wrote on her Instagram Stories. 'This angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well-wishers. There was (no) snub of any sort, had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space. Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!’

Tallulah also took the opportunity to shower her mum in praise. She called Demi her 'greatest teacher', before explaining how emotional it was to see her mum win a Golden Globe. 'The genuine shock makes me tear up. You are so worthy. The world is seeing you as your family does, and I am beaming with pride,’ she said. In another post, she added: ‘My absolute muse, my queen, the joy I see in your face lights a thousand bulbs.’

The interaction was also addressed by a source in the Daily Mail, who told the publication that Demi didn't intentionally snub Kylie. ‘Demi doesn’t know Kylie,’ the source said, before adding 'Demi is an actress. Kylie was there because she is dating Timothée Chalamet. Demi respects Timothée and admires his talent. It was not a snub though.’
