ALAN Carr has been confirmed as a co-host for the Royal Variety Performance of 2024.
Amanda Holden will be paired with the much-loved comedian to replace the Royal show's previous host, Bradley Walsh.
Following the previous success with their BBC renovation series, Amanda & Alan's Italian Job, ITV have chosen the much-loved fan favourite TV duo to host this years Royal Variety Performance.
Britain's Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden will be hosting the prestigious event for the first time, alongside her "TV husband," Alan Carr - who was previously a host of the 2021 ceremony.
The Royal Variety Performance is the world's longest running entertainment show, with the first royal show held in 1912.
The annual charity event, held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, will be attended by King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Alan Carr will open the charity event on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Royal Albert Hall.
Speaking about his return as host, Carr said: “I am completely thrilled to be asked back to host the Royal Variety Performance so soon, what a compliment and an honour.
“To be able to host this magical evening with my best friend and TV wife Amanda Holden is the icing on the cake for me.
"If I have half as much fun as I did three years ago, well, we are all in for a real treat.”

Who is Alan Carr?
Alan Carr was born on June 14, 1976, and is an English comedian and TV star.
He was born in Weymouth, Dorset, but spent most of his childhood in Northampton before moving in his early 20s to Manchester, where he began his comedy career.
The Chatty Man's breakthrough was in 2001, winning the City Life Best Newcomer of the Year and the BBC Best New Stand-Up Awards.
In the years that followed, his career flourished on the Manchester comedy circuit before he shot to fame hosting The Friday Night Project with Justin Lee Collins.
