DEBBIE Lorenzo is the ex-wife of the late Murder Inc Records co-founder Irv Gotti. 

News of Irv’s death broke on February 6, 2025, when the businessman passed away at the age of 54.

Debbie’s whirlwind marriage

Debbie Lorenzo is a well known hat designer who often displays her creations on her Instagram page @francis.grey. 

She was married to Irv for more than a decade before they split in 2013.

During their marriage, the pair welcomed three children named Andie, Sonnie and Johnathan “JJ” Wilson Gotti. 

Debbie accused Irv of cheating on her with several women before deciding to split with him.

After their divorce, Debbie enrolled in a master’s degree in social work.

Murder Inc Records

Irv was born in 1970 and was raised in Queens, New York City. 

He formed Murder Inc. Records in 1998 alongside his brother Chris.

The company signed huge acts including Ja Rule, Charli “Chuck” Baltimore and Vita before ballooning in size. 

Ja Rule amassed a total of 17 Hot 100 Hits, including three no.1s, during his time at the record label.

Irv Gotti’s death

Irv had battled diabetes for several years by the time of his death on February 6, 2025.

It is believed that he passed away after suffering a severe stroke, after suffering a diabetes related stroke just a year earlier. 

In August 2023, he said: “Diabetes is deteriorating my body. 

“I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes forever; it’s hereditary. 

“"When my [blood sugar] gets too high, shot [of insulin]. It’s reversible but you gotta change the way you eat — all that.

"But you know what’s f**ked up with diabetes?

"So anything that you’re gonna like or tastes good, horrible for you. Now what’s some nasty s**t?”
