Why It’s Great To See a Single Paige DeSorbo Thriving

When it comes to Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo, I unapologetically like her. She’s hilarious when she gets an accurate edit. And on top of that, she is dry, clever, and a straight shooter. It’s not often viewers get to see a genuine reality TV star, but I get the sense that Paige is the real McCoy. And now that she has officially entered her single-girl era, Paige can thrive even more while living in the Big Apple.

Paige DeSorbo can embrace her independence

Even though it was sad to hear about her break up with Craig Conover, most fans knew the end was coming. But now, having shed the extra weight of a grown man, Paige can embrace her Independence Day and single season. This means she doesn’t have to live by anyone else’s rules. Now, just to clarify, I’m not in any way insisting that Craig was bossy. But he did have dreams of a family and the white picket fence. And those just didn’t seem to align with Paige’s. Over the last few years, Summer House viewers watched as Paige kept having to shove one foot in between the metaphorical door.

From day one, Paige has always wanted to be a #bossbabe. And at times it felt like Craig might want to squash that trait. During Season 8, Craig offered to help pay the influencer’s rent, but Paige didn’t entertain the idea. In her confessional, she noted, “I wouldn’t go buy a car with Craig not being married. I wouldn’t start a bank account with Craig not being married, so why would I take part of my rent from him?” she asked. “Also, I’m not just going to be indebted to him, and then, what? He thinks he’s gonna make decisions in my apartment? Get out of town.”

Paige DeSorbo can concentrate on business

One thing that both Craig and Paige did have in common was their work ethic. Over the last few years of dating, Paige had been asked to cherry-pick her jobs. During Season 8, Craig went as far as to essentially tell her that she needed to pick him over work more often. Naturally, this conversation didn’t sit well with Paige, who prides herself on her career. Let’s face it: Paige is at the height of her force. She is undoubtedly one of the most popular Bravolebrities of all time. She wasn’t about to press pause.

While on the Ladygang podcast, Paige shared, “I also know myself. I know the moment I give birth to that first child, you’ll never see me again. That’s it. I’m home. I’m in the bed. Like, I can’t wait for that. And so I think partly that’s why I am like, I don’t wanna do that right now. Like, I wanna work, enjoy my career, work really hard. Because I know that next part of my life is coming, and when it comes I wanna be ready for it and I wanna be so immersed in it.” So now Paige can put the pedal to the metal and earn those paychecks.

Paige DeSorbo can finally act her age

Let’s not forget. Paige is only 32 years old, and Craig is 35. And we all know 32 is like the new 22. Even though the age gap seems relatively close, both were light years apart. Living in New York City, you aren’t forced to settle down in your 20s and have a husband and children. However, the Southern charm of Charleston eats, breathes, and sleeps the idea of a family unit. Now that Paige is single, she can embrace what 32 means to her.

I like that the pressure is now on Paige. She no longer has to worry about wasting Craig’s time. The timeline belongs to her. Since her break up, Paige has even been turning over a new leaf when it comes to putting herself first. She told listeners on Giggly Squad, “I’ve been working out three times a week, and I haven’t even thought about it,” she said. “It was just very empowering for my own self to see like, ‘Oh, I thought I’d never be able to quit that, or I thought I’d never be able to start that up.’ And so then when you’re doing it naturally, you’re like, ‘Wait, I’m way stronger than I was giving myself credit for.'” I think it’s safe to say 2025 will be Paige’s year.
