John Stamos shared a post in solidarity with former Full House co-star Dave Coulier — but fans weren't feeling the love.

The 61-year-old Doctor Odyssey actor shared a carousel of three photos alongside Coulier, 65, on Monday, November 18 with them both showing off bald heads. "Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier," Stamos wrote in the caption of the shared post.

He also praised his longtime friend — who had just publicly shared his cancer diagnosis on Today on November 13 — posting, "You're handling this with so much strength and positivity—it's inspiring. I know you're going to get through this, and I'm proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you."

He also praised Coulier's wife, whom the star married in 2014, sharing, "(p.s. - @melissacoulier is the most wonderfulest - your true life line!)." Though the intent seemed positive, many fans were upset with Stamos for using a bald cap rather than actually shaving his head in solidarity.

"This is the dumbest thing I've seen 'threw on a bald cap in solidarity,' that's like saying I wear rags in the streets while pushing a cart in solidarity with the unhoused or something 🤣," one person commented.

Another Instagram user wrote, "Hate to be that person but this is more insulting by putting on a bald cap then not shaving ur head. A person with cancer doesn't have a "cap" they can take off."

While many comments scolded Stamos for wearing a bald cap, others suggested his motives were more self-serving.

"God bless Dave 🙏🏻 but is this really appropriate? A bald cap is showing solidarity? You can just take your cap off and be 'normal' again," one person commented. "I can't help but feel that you're using Dave's diagnoses as a way to make yourself more likeable."

Coulier's wife, however, shared her support for the gesture, commenting, "We love you, so much. ❤️." The post also received praise from other Full House stars, like Andrea Barber — who wrote "I love you guys so much. ❤️🥹" — and Candace Cameron Bure, who shared, "This is fantastic ❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Coulier recently announced on Today that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. "[I was] feeling like I got punched in the stomach because it never happens to you. You always hear about it happening to someone else," said Coulier, of his "roller coaster" health journey.

Though the Fuller House alum said his diagnosis sounded scary, he said the curability rate is a promising one. And on how he's getting through the stressful process, Coulier told Hoda Kotb, "Keep laughing your way through life, that's important, and keep your friends and family close."
