Reality TV star Chase Chrisley has been arrested, In Touch confirmed. The Chrisley Knows Best alum was booked on a simple battery charge in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 9, 2025, but what led to Chase’s arrest?
Who Is Chase Chrisley?
Chase is most known for appearing on his family’s USA Network shows, Chrisley Knows Best from 2014 to 2023 and Growing Up Chrisley alongside sister Savannah Chrisley from 2019 to 2022.
Chase is the eldest son on Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, who were both found guilty of federal tax evasion, bank fraud and conspiracy in June 2022. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie received a seven-year sentence behind bars, in November 2022.
Why Was Chase Chrisley Arrested?
Chase was booked on January 9, 2025, and released the same day on a $10,000 bond for an incident that occurred on January 6, 2025, according to online records from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office viewed by In Touch.
Chase could be seen grinning in his mugshot photo after his arrest.
According to a police report obtained by People, Atlanta Police Department officers responded to a call from a local Twin Peaks Sports Bar on January 6, 2025, after a general manager claimed that he had been assaulted by Chase. The TV personality was “no longer on [the] scene” when the officers arrived, the report stated.
Chase allegedly “became really drunk” during his time at the bar and acted “disrespectful and belligerent.” When he was asked to leave by the manager “multiple times,” he allegedly refused and “slapped” the manager “in the face twice.” The manager did not have any injuries and declined to receive medical attention.
In an audio recording of a 911 call obtained by TMZ, the manager, who identified himself as Brandon Nash, could be heard informing the dispatcher about a drunk and aggressive patron who allegedly assaulted him with a chair. Nash asked for the patron to be removed, and he could be heard asking someone repeatedly not to touch him. He then claimed that the suspect slapped him.
One day prior to his arrest, Chase was named as a suspect in the case after the manager identified the TV star as the person who allegedly assaulted him, according to Us Weekly.
What Has Chase Chrisley Said About His Arrest?
Chase’s attorneys, Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg and Zack Findling of The Findling Law Firm, responded to the arrest in a statement to People, claiming that the incident at the bar “has been entirely blown out of proportion.”
“Chase Chrisley had done the right thing that evening by calling a driver to take him home. He did not assault anyone,” the statement read. “Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave. We will be independently investigating the situation.”
While Chase himself has not directly addressed the arrest, he returned to his Instagram Stories on January 10, 2025, to share a photo of a Mercedes-Benz vehicle in the falling snow. He added Lil Baby, Young Thug and Future’s song, “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber,” over the image, featuring some cryptic lyrics about prison time.
“I don’t even believe I was locked up forreal, forreal,” the lyrics read. “I was having my way the whole time, fool, you know what I’m sayin’?”
