Russell Brand is in deep trouble after all of those horrific sexual assault accusations. And we aren’t just talking about being “canceled” and having to find a new career as a right-wing shill selling “magical amulets” to protect you from WiFi.
As we previously reported, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor was accused by four different women of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse in September of last year. After these women came forward, and more stories started to come to light, multiple investigations were opened into the claims. Now, police have made their decision — they’re asking prosecutors to slap him with criminal charges, per the BBC.

In the past, the 49-year-old has denied the claims and called them very “hurtful.” But law enforcement compiled a ton of evidence and have sent it to prosecutors. The Metropolitan Police confirmed Saturday they’d received a number of new reports following the original four women who came forward. The police force revealed “a man in his 40s had been interviewed by officers under caution on three separate occasions” before confirming:
“A file of evidence has now been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for their consideration.”
The Crown Prosecution Service themselves then confirmed they received the file and are looking into it.
Depending on what prosecutors think of this evidence police compiled, the disgraced actor could be facing charges VERY soon. Justice might be on the way for the poor alleged victims who have bravely stepped forward.
