William's 'thoughtful' £100 Christmas gift for Kate sells out in minutes

Kate Middleton is often a source of fashion inspiration for royal fans thanks to her elegant style and envied wardrobe. And a pair of gorgeous earrings, which were gifted to her by her husband Prince William, were reported to have sold out within minutes online after the royal was snapped sporting them at Christmas.

The Princess of Wales stepped out at Sandringham on Christmas Day 2022 wearing the £100 gold-plated earrings as she attended the Royal Family's traditional church service.

The ocean blue Dina earrings from high street brand Sezane were sold out with minutes online after Kate was spotted wearing them, as we previously reported.

Royal fans rushed to compliment the mother-of-three after a picture of her heading to the service with her family emerged.

One person wrote: “They are gorgeous earrings, she is bound to love them. I wish my husband was as thoughtful as William!”

Kate, who became Princess of Wales when Charles became King, was joined by her three kids at Sandringham as they enjoyed the traditional Christmas Day church service.

Another royal watcher said: "It seems the Princess of Wales is wearing a Treacy hat and Sezane earrings today." and keen X, formerly Twitter, users were quick to make use of this information.

One commented: "Lovely earrings" while another replied: "Cool, thanks for that info, was trying to find them!"

Members of 'the Firm' were greeted outside the church by the Reverend Canon Dr Paul Rhys Williams before they climbed the stairs up to the church.

The National Anthem was sung before the first hymn, O Come, All Ye Faithful.

Well wishers who gathered outside of the church listened to the service being played over the speakers.

Among them was Gemma Clark, 42, who travelled with her 72-year-old father Paul Clark from Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, and gave toys to George, Charlotte and Louis.

Miss Clark, who was in a wheelchair was overjoyed as she said it was “absolutely brilliant” to meet William and Kate and their three children.

She said: “I love them to bits, especially the children, the children are amazing. Prince Louis – I love Louis.

“He’s always cheeky, that Louis is, but I love him.”

Ms Clark gave each of the three royal children a novelty toy called a gonk which is a festive gnome with a pointed hat and gifted flowers to Kate.

She added: “They said ‘thank you very much’ and ‘happy Christmas.

“I also met the King as well, just for a brief minute. The King is absolutely gorgeous, I like King Charles III, I think he’s going to be an amazing King, I really do.”
