Woman is savagely trolled after revealing the most unattractive hobby a man can have

Conservative commentator Liz Wheeler was hit with backlash after sharing her thoughts on the 'most unattractive' hobby a man can have, but she soon doubled down on her stance.

Everyone has their own tastes when it comes to attraction; some people love the outdoorsy type, while others want someone whose interests keep them closer to home.

But rather than accepting that everyone's different, Wheeler took a bold stance by declaring one very popular pastime as the 'most unattractive' hobby of them all.

The 35-year-old shared her thoughts after coming across a survey which claimed to rank the 'least attractive hobbies for men, according to women'.

The survey ranked hobbies on an 'unattractiveness score', but it's worth noting that this survey was quickly hit with a community note pointing out that it didn't actually seem to have any scientific basis.

"There is no source provided for the reported finding, and the percentages are rounded evenly to the nearest multiple of five, which is implausible," the note read.

"The origin of this image is from an TikToker making a joke post about them being birdwatchers. Other surveys show different results."

In spite of the question marks surrounding the survey, Wheeler shared it on Twitter and revealed that she agreed with the hobby that had scored highest on the survey: playing video games.

That particular pastime garnered a score of 90 on the unattractiveness scale, followed by collecting figurines at 85, magic tricks at 80, and online trolling at 75.

Wheeler captioned the image: “This is 100% true. Men playing video games is peak unattractive. Beyond red flag. Like dealbreaker zone. It’s weird that so many dudes don’t get this.”

After sharing her thoughts, Wheeler was hit with a huge wave of backlash from furious social media users.

One disgruntled person said: “Guys playing video games is their way of escaping the BS they deal with all day. I'd go on to say it is the equivalent of women binge watching Netflix or endless scrolling their Insta feeds. As long as the guy has a steady job and stays physically fit it shouldn't matter.”

Women also weighed in, with one responding: “Men have a lot of c**p on their plates, and if a guy takes care of business in every other arena, why the hell shouldn’t he play video games?”

Another added: “What a dumbf**k opinion video games are awesome and i could never be with someone who didn't understand and support that.”

After realizing her post had caused a stir, Wheeler shared a follow-up post in which she doubled down on her thoughts, and even expanded on them.

In one lengthy post, she claimed: “Video games are sedentary, consumptive, fantasy steeped in immorality that have serious, negative real world side effects on the men who play them.

“4 in 10 American men between the ages of 18-50 play between 1-3 hours of video games every day. That’s… a lot. Maybe a bigger problem than I realized when I posted the meme. Yes, a MEME. Some of y’all need to loosen up and laugh at the funny meme that triggered you.”

She added: “It’s pretty simple. Women are attracted to men based on men’s ability to protect, provide, produce, & procreate. Hobbies that illustrate that ability are attractive to women. Hobbies that do not… are not.”
