Wynne Evans was spotted with his girlfriend Liz Brookes running errands in Cardiff following his Strictly Come Dancing stint.

The Go Compare star, 53, announced in January that he had agreed with the BBC to "take some time out" from his BBC Radio Wales show and the Strictly Come Dancing live tour to "prioritise" his "wellbeing". It came after he issued an apology for using "inappropriate and unacceptable" language on the tour.

It has been said the BBC delayed having crisis talks with him regarding his future due to concerns for his mental health. It was reported the situation having been "weighing heavily on his mind". And now, a month after his axing from Strictly's live tour, he was spotted doing a Sainsbury's shop with his girlfriend.

The two seemed calm and happy as they held hands while making their way to the shops. Wynne had a smile on his face as he rocked a white t-shirt, a beige zip-up sweater, jeans and Birkenstocks. He carried shopping bags with one hand and held his girlfriend's hand with the other.

Liz kepy warm in blue jeans, brown boots, a brown sweater, and a light black jacket. His outing comes less than a month after Wynne announced he was stepping back from the Strictly tour and his radio show. His departure was announced after it was revealed that he mad a demeaning remark whilst at a photocall with his co-stars during the tour launch in Birmingham.

As previously reported, the comment came after host Janette Manrara walked over to the group. Wynne sang out "Go Compare" before adding: "Not too close to Jamie [Borthwick]." He then appeared to use the term "spit roast," in reference to a lewd sexual act.

Wynne later apologised, telling the Mirror: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable for which I sincerely apologise." Whilst a spokesperson for the tour and BBC Studios said: "We were not previously aware of the remark and did not receive any complaints. We have made it very clear to Wynne that we do not tolerate such behaviour on the tour."

Following his axe from the tour, his girlfriend helped him through a "very tough period" and was "massively" supporting him. The Strictly star and Liz started dating in the spring of last year after the breakup of his marriage. A source told us last month: "Everyone is rallying around Wynne - Liz included. It’s a very testing time and he is appreciative of all the love and support he is getting.”
