Yasiin Bey and The Alchemist are coming together to create a new duo — and a new album.
Fans can get a taste of new music from their upcoming debut in Paris at a live event on Jan. 25. The project is titled Forensics, which could also be the name of their group. As you can see, not much is known.
The Alchemist previously shared one of their collaborations last November at an event in Los Angeles. While performing with MIKE and Wiki, All played a collab with Bey that the audience responded very well to, although it's unknown if it will be released under the Forensics name.
Bey seems to be ramping up his releases after releasing the highly anticipated Black Star album, No Fear of Time, in 2022. On Dec. 15, the rapper formerly known as Mos Def dropped Money Christmas, his latest EP.
And if there’s one thing to know about The Alchemist, it's that he stays busy. Earlier this month, he let fans know on social media how much he wants to make a jazz album with Young Thug. After someone wrote to him and said, “introspective jazz album with young thug needed,” the producer quoted the message and responded with “Somebody send me his number i got u.”
Back in September, The Alchemist dropped his collab with Schoolboy Q, “Ferraris in the Rain,” the lead single from his album The Genuine Articulate.
