A mum has accused Yung Filly of breaking his promise to support her terminally ill son, claiming that the British YouTuber and rapper ghosted her child and even told him to "shut up".
Kelly Greaves said her son Mason, who was born with one working kidney that has deteriorated over the years, has been "on the brink of death" more than once. Sadly in January, the mum-of-two was told that the 12-year-old had end-stage kidney disease, prompting her urgent search for a donor.
The woman said her family has received support by major companies including Harrods and Lamborghini as well as JD Sports which offered to send the boy some clothes. Weeks later, they also organised a surprise for Mason, who likes to play Fortnite, and asked Kelly to film his reaction.

The 29-year-old rapper said in the video he recorded for his fan: "Mason - I know this is probably a little surprise for you. But I just wanted to say I hope you're well, also thank you for watching my videos. I wish you a speedy recovery my guy. Tough times never last. God willing you're gonna be okay sooner rather than later.
"I just wanted to give you my support and tell you that I love you and I'm here for you - and I hope all is well my guy. Unfortunate what is happening with you, but as I say my brother try to stay positive as best you can. And when you're up for it, let me know, and I'll whoop your a**e at Fortnite."
Reacting to the unexpected video message, Mason began jumping around the room as he thanked the team that arranged the surprise for him. However, despite the initial joy, Kelly told The Sun that when Mason tried to contact Filly on social media, he was ignored or shut down by the rapper and those working with him.
The mum said that one day, Filly was live on TikTok and Mason said hello through the chat at the bottom, however he was ignored. After noticing that Filly was speaking to people through Twitch, Mason created an account on the live-streaming platform, but he allegedly got "abuse" from moderators who were monitoring the comments.
Kelly claimed that someone was "so rude" to Mason and "was telling him to go away" so she decided to take the phone off Mason. However, things got worse a few days later when Filly allegedly told Mason to "shut up", as Kelly recalled: "Then a couple of days later Filly was back on Twitch playing games with people so Mason went again and said something like 'hi it's Mason do you remember me, my kidney appeal'. And Filly said 'Mason just shut up'. I was with Mason and I just thought how dare he."
The mum said Filly's reaction left her son heartbroken as she added that it appeared that his initial video was just "for show". She said: "I feel Filly jumped on a bandwagon and then literally broke my son's heart. I feel so bad for Mason and I can't believe he's done this to him. He was aware of Mason and what's going on with him. It just seems like it was for show. It's left a really sour taste in my mouth, he's just really not that person he makes out to be."
Kelly's claims emerged after Filly was charged with rape and assault of a woman in her 20s in Australia. He was arrested in Brisbane on October 8 and is required to regularly report to police as one of his bail conditions as he awaits a further court hearing on the alleged assault.
Filly is accused of sexual penetration without consent of a woman in her 20s at his Perth hotel on September 28 after his performance at Bar1 Nightclub in Hillarys on the evening of September 27. He appeared at Perth Magistrates Court Thursday, where his application for bail was adjourned until later in the day.
ABC Australia reports that the British entertainment personality is being defended by Perth barrister Seamus Rafferty SC. According to the publication, Rafferty said of Filly's bail: "This has already made headlines. Given the nature of social media, the nature of people jumping on bandwagons, given the nature of (the) power imbalance between the parties."
The Mirror has contacted Filly's representatives for comment on Kelly's claims.
