I love luxury fragrance as much as the next person, but I have to admit that Zara perfumes have become somewhat iconic. It's no secret that some of Zara's fragrances bear a striking resemblance to certain designer perfumes (we see you, Red Temptation), and with the brand collaborating with fragrance royalty such as Jo Malone CBE, it's become the place to pick up a chic, expensive-smelling perfume without the associated price tag.
So, when I first heard that Zara had launched hair perfumes, my interest was immediately piqued. Hair perfumes are having a huge moment right now, and with the campaign being fronted by none other than Daisy Edgar Jones (my celebrity hair crush) and the hair perfumes themselves created by the renowned perfumer Jérôme Epinette and acclaimed hairstylist Guido Palau, I knew I had to get my hands on them to try first-hand. And, let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

1. Dawn: Let's Begin

Smells like: A fresh wash and blowdry at an expensive salon
Notes: Lemon, apricot blossom, musk
Out of the three fragrances, this is by far my favourite. It smells like fresh, clean hair or an expensive shampoo you'd find in a luxe salon. It's clean, a little lemony and brightly floral. I've been reaching for this one the most to make my hair smell fresh right up to wash day. Each of the three hair perfumes are inspired by moments in the day, and this particular one was inspired by the golden skies at dawn. I didn't find it to be hugely long-lasting (or perhaps my nose had gotten used to it), but at £12 I definitely don't mind topping up a few times throughout the day.
2. Dusk: and Then...

Smells like: Sipping a cosmopolitan while basking in golden hour light
Notes: Jasmine, pink sugar, blond woods
The second Zara hair perfume is designed to be worn at dusk, and it's definitely more of a seductive evening scent. Think hypnotic, creamy jasmine petals, spun sugar and a smooth, woody and warm base. This is headier than Dawn: Let's Begin, so is naturally more long-lasting and noticeable in the hair throughout the day. It really captures the anticipation at the start of a night out when you taste the first sip of a sweet cocktail while the sun descends towards the horizon.
3. Midnight: After Everything

Smells like: Smouldering vanilla at starlight
Notes: Raspberry, white amber, vanilla cream
I'll admit it: I wasn't initially a fan of this one, but it's been growing on me day after day. It's both the warmest and sweetest of the three hair perfumes, and shares a very similar resemblance to Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540, but with a heavy vanilla cream swirl. It's seriously seductive, with glowing amber and a hint of sweet raspberry. I usually prefer having a lighter scent in my hair, but if you want something sultry and utterly addictive to take you into the evening hours, this is a great scent to mist through your hair to get you noticed. I found that this was the longest-lasting scent of the three, and I can smell it in my hair the next day.
