Zendaya appeared to confirm Tom Holland engagement reports on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) when she was spotted in LA still wearing that diamond ring, which set tongues wagging at the Golden Globes.

The sparkler's appearance on her left hand ring finger at the awards show on Sunday (Monday AEDT) sparked speculation Tom Holland had proposed over the holidays.

Since then, several US media outlets say they have confirmed the couple's engagement but the actors themselves are yet to affirm the happy news.

The Challengers star, who was also a producer on the movie, appeared at a special screening of the film at the Pacific Design Centre in West Hollywood.

The former Disney star wore a black leather jacket over a tulle mini-skirt for the event, paired with pointed-toe Christian Louboutin heels.

The 28-year-old was even brandishing a new (possibly fake) fringe but it wasn't the star's style that captivated those in the audience.

All eyes were on her left hand as she held her microphone on stage during the Q&A alongside director Luca Guadagnino, composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and Rachel O'Connor and Amy Pascal.

The only other jewellery Zendaya was wearing was a pair of diamond studs, making the ring - rumoured to be a 5.02-carat Jessica McCormack design - stand out even more.

As she exited the ballroom at the Golden Globes, Zendaya reportedly smiled coyly, showed off her ring and "shrugged her shoulders mysteriously" when asked by the Los Angeles Times if she was in fact engaged.

Holland, who met Zendaya on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, gave a hint of his big plans before Christmas in an interview on The Dish podcast, suggesting they would be hosting their families together in 2025.

"I am gonna be in America this year, I'll be with my girlfriend's family, which will be fun. Where we'll be is a secret," he told the podcast's hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett.

"I think what we'd like to start doing is, rather than spending it with each family each year, is to bring the families together. That's what I think we want to do next time.

"This time, because we're both actors, we're terrible at organising things. So it hasn't happened yet. The thought's there. The idea has been planted."

The actor also told the podcast hosts his girlfriend is the "best thing that's ever happened to me".

Perhaps making wedding planning a little easier, is the fact the couple will be working together again - the pair are both slated to appear in Christopher Nolan's next project.
