We’ve got an extreme (understatement of the century) love/hate relationship with Samra Nasr’s Harper’s Bazaar. Last year, covers starring Regina King, Anok Yai and Christy Turlington were an extreme hit. On the opposite end of the scale, Emma Corrin, Winona Ryder, Jennie, and Kendrick Lamar as Bazaar cover stars were a hard pass. Nasr, who has served as Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief since 2020, selects Zoe Saldaña as cover girl for February 2025. The American actress (currently starring alongside Karla Sofía Gascón and Selena Gomez in Netflix’s “Emilia Pérez”) is placed before the lens of Larissa Hoffman, as she makes her US Bazaar cover debut. Styled by Carlos Nazario, Saldaña gazes down Hoffman’s lens and poses on a plush pink carpet in a sheer look from the Saint Laurent Spring 2025 collection.

“Love Zoe Saldaña but hate this cover,” immediately critiqued Ivancica.
“I absolutely hate it. I wonder if they’ll have to Photoshop the newsstand cover or choose a different photo. I don’t know if barely concealed areolas will fly,” noted KoV.
“An early contender for worst cropping in 2025,” Lucien112 declared.
Avonlea002 commented: “I am not sure what to think about it. The cover is so ridiculously bad that it’s actually good? It’s intriguing, that’s for sure.”
“I do approve of those vibrant colors, because we’re all fully aware that Samira Nasr tends to suck the saturation out of Bazaar‘s front covers. That shade of pink is gorgeous, and looks particularly well alongside that orange Saint Laurent look and the green masthead. Yet why not just shoot Zoe up against a wall? The rotation irks me,” voiced vogue28.
“Awful cover but I’m happy Zoe Saldaña’s finally getting her flowers,” said Hchloe.
