1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton is setting the record straight on rumors her sister Amy Slaton was pregnant and expecting her third child.
“I wish people would stop spreading rumors,” Tammy, 38, said in a TikTok posted from her official account on Monday, November 4. “But I’m here to tell you Amy’s not pregnant.”
Amy, 37, is already a mother of two sons, Gage and Glenn, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Micheal Halterman. The pair separated in February 2023, with the mill operator filing for divorce one month later.
In addition, Tammy clarified social media speculation that her sister-in-law Brittany, who is married to her brother, Chris Combs, “did not pass away.” Both her sister-in-law and brother, 44, regularly make appearances on 1000-Lb. Sisters.
Fans in the comment section thanked the YouTube personality for shutting down the rumors and were happy the news about Brittany wasn’t true.
“I’m so thankful to hear this. Thank you for letting me know. I was heartbroken. Glad Brittany is OK,” one user wrote. Meanwhile, another fan added, “It’s driving me nuts. People are still spreading misinformation.”
“This helps so much thank you for keeping us informed beautiful!!” a third quipped.
Tammy moved into a property owned by her brother and his wife during season 6 of 1000-Lb. Sisters, which premiered on TLC on October 8. Although she was thankful to have a place to live, Tammy expressed her concerns about the conditions of the new home, which included broken tiles on the floor and a dirty sink. Chris encouraged her to keep an “open mind.”
“I hope Chris can finish everything in 30 days,” Tammy said in a confessional during the October 29 episode. “I don’t know much about, like, construction. It’s like speaking Chinese to me or a different language cause I don’t understand.”
The property later caused an argument between Chris and Brittany. As the trio were touring the house, Brittany expressed concern about a bar in the kitchen and suggested it be removed so that a table could be put in its place. The moment became tense when Chris refused to make the change.
“It might be an option down the road to take it out, but not right now,” Chris said. “I’m not taking the bar out regardless.”
As the couple kept arguing about the layout of the kitchen, Tammy appeared uncomfortable and remained quiet. “I mean, I like the layout. I think it would be a suitable place for me, but I just don’t want them to fight because of it,” Tammy said in a confessional. “They’re doing this in such short time and trying to hurry up.”
Meanwhile, fans have also been watching Amy’s glowup following her divorce. Later in the episode, the mom of two got emotional after finally losing enough weight to be able to wear heels. “I always wanted a pair of heels, but I was never skinny enough,” the reality star explained. “When you’re fat and blind, your balance is kind of off, so on the ground is more sturdy.”
Amy struggled to walk in a pair of high stiletto heels, but found success with a pair of block-heeled booties. She later got emotional after buying the shoes, realizing it symbolized the progress she had made in her weight loss journey.
“It’s registering that I have lost weight, and I’m not going to break the damn heel,” she said. “It’s a good moment. I mean, I wore heels for the first time. The fact that I’ve lost so much weight now that I could wear heels and actually want to wear heels to go on a date with is scary in itself.”
