2 Dogs Get New Homes After Surviving Scary Plane Crash

According to ABC, Kim was taking three dogs to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, which is located in upstate New York.
While en route, Kim's 1986 Mooney M20J plane went down.

Kim reportedly contacted air traffic control to inform them of the winds, but in their final correspondence, he shared that traffic conditions changed to moderate turbulence.
A Labrador-mix puppy named Whiskey and a Yorkshire terrier mix called Pluto managed to pull through the incident.
Pluto was found bruised, while Whiskey was spotted in the snow after breaking two legs.

Due to the fractures, Whiskey underwent surgery at a Connecticut veterinary hospital, and later, went through physical therapy.
Since making his recovery, Whiskey has been adopted by his foster family.
Pluto, who healed from his injuries quickly, found a home shortly after the catastrophe.

Non-profit organization Pilots N Paws paid tribute to Kim and thanked him for his years of service.
"In Loving Memory of Seuk Kim: Today, we honor and remember the life and contributions of Seuk Kim, a cherished volunteer pilot and member of the Pilots N Paws community," the organization wrote in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
"Seuk tragically lost his life in a plane crash on Sunday while transporting three dogs to new homes," they continued.

Whiskey and Pluto were able to find homes, but one of their fellow pup passengers wasn't as lucky.
"Sadly one of the dogs, Lisa, did not survive, but we are grateful to share that the other two are safe and receiving care for their injuries," Pilots N Paws shared at the time.
"Seuk's unwavering dedication to our mission saved countless lives and inspired so many within the aviation and animal rescue communities," they added.
