Fif insists the jabs are inspired by his competitive fervor and aren't personal.
50 Cent is notorious for trolling his rivals and opponents, online and elsewhere. Yet, the rapper has taken particular interest in commenting on the sexual assault allegations that have been leveled against Sean “Diddy” Combs, which date back to last year, and JAY-Z, who was recently accused of raping a minor.
However, according to Fif, his seemingly incessant jabs at his fellow Hip-Hop moguls aren’t intended to be malicious, as he holds no personal grudges against either Diddy or Hov.
During a recent appearance on media personality and radio legend Big Boy’s digital platform, 50 shed light on his history with Diddy and JAY-Z, which dates as far back as the late ’90s.
“I haven’t had issues with Puff where I don’t like him,” the 49-year-old insisted when speaking on his dealings with the incarcerated Bad Boy Entertainment founder. However, he did voice his displeasure with certain actions Combs allegedly took to seemingly get under his skin in the past. “I don’t like things that he would do that make me uncomfortable,” Fif added.
While he didn’t go into specifics, Fif has previously expressed his discontentment over being replaced by Nas on a Jennifer Lopez record he had recorded a feature verse to during the early ’00s, which he has alleged was Combs’ doing.
He has also shared his reaction to Daphne Joy, the mother of his youngest son, Sire, being romantically involved with Combs. He accused her of being a sex worker in Combs’ alleged sex trafficking operation, claims both Joy and Combs have denied.
As for JAY-Z, 50 says that his digs at the Brooklyn native are simply a product of his own competitive nature, even going as far as to send him well wishes in light of the heinous allegations that were recently brought against him. This includes an alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl during an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
“I just hope things are all right for him internally. I mean at the crib,” the Queens native began. “Because in the statement they mentioned his daughter being old enough to… ‘cuz she about 13. So it’s the same age as these kids they saying he did something to.”
He continued, adding that both JAY-Z and Combs’ reputations will forever be in question due to merely being associated with sex crimes against women and minors. “The damage is already done by the allegation itself,” Fif said.
While 50 Cent claims his social media posts regarding the allegations aren’t ill-intentioned or personal, that didn’t stop the entertainment executive from seemingly criticizing JAY-Z for attending the premiere for Mufasa: The Lion King with his family, despite the claims against him.
“Jay said they said I raped a kid, everybody get dressed we going to see Mustafa,” the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper wrote in a post on social media.
Both Combs and JAY-Z have denied the sexual assault allegations against them, with the latter filing a motion to have the identity of his accuser revealed.
