50 Cent hinted Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegations were coming years ago

In an interview with stand-up comedian, actor, and podcaster Andrew Schulz, 50 Cent revealed he knew the allegations against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs were coming.

During the two-and-a-half hour long chat for Schulz’ Flagrant podcast with Akaash Singh, 50 Cent touched on the allegations against Combs, which include sexual assault, racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

50 Cent recounted an awkward incident where Combs invited him to go shopping together in 2003. The pair were in Miami for the wedding of record executive Chris Lighty.

“Let me take you shopping and I’ll get you some flash sh.. and you can show me the hood sh..,” he said.

“And I was just looking at him like ‘Let me just move away from him because I’m a mess up the win.”

50 Cent discussed the same shopping incident in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in August, where he said: “I’m just like, ‘Naw, I’m not f...ing with this weird energy or weird s..t’, coming off the way he was just moving. From that, I wasn’t comfortable around him.”

Schulz then asked in the podcast: “What has it felt like all these years [because you were] the only one calling this out?”

“I’ve been the crazy guy,” replied 50 Cent. “[Everyone said] ‘You’re a hater’. Now everyone is complaining, ‘My arse is hurting’,” he laughed.

“All this shit was coming. You see it now,” he said.

Later in the interview, podcast co-host Akaash Singh said: “You are the one guy who is like, ‘I’m not afraid of Diddy’.”

“He’s not a scary guy,” 50 Cent replied. “He never was a scary guy.”

50 Cent has been feuding with Combs for more than 18 years and has taken multiple opportunities to ridicule him publicly.

The pair’s feud dates back to 2006 when Combs refused to release US rapper Ma$e from his contract with Combs’ Bad Boy Records, preventing Ma$e from joining 50 Cent’s G-Unit label.

In 2020, 50 Cent joined Ma$e’s public call-out of Combs, when he accused him of withholding publishing rights and exploiting artists under Bad Boy Records.

Then in December last year, 50 Cent reposted an old freestyle of Ma$e dissing Combs. In the diss track, Ma$e spits: “Karma came and gave him daughters for what he did to Kim Porter, made the day he dies, he rest in piss water!”

In April this year, 50 Cent mocked Combs’ vodka brand, Ciroc, saying, “I haven’t seen anybody drinking that s... lately; it’s over.”

In what will be seen as 50 Cent’s most direct aim at Combs, the hip hop heavyweight is executive producing the forthcoming Netflix documentary, tentatively titled ‘Diddy Do It’.

Produced by 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television, the multi-part documentary will be directed by Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker Alexandria Stapleton. It reportedly features testimonies from Combs’ inner circle, including former security guards and friends.

“I can get people who would not get on camera, get on camera to do it,” 50 Cent said during the podcast. “Because it’s Fiddy calling instead.”

The interview comes a week after three unnamed male plaintiffs claim they were given a laced drink and later raped by Combs.

First reported by TMZ, two alleged victims claim they went to hotels with Combs, while one claims they were raped at Combs’ residence in the Hamptons. One assault allegedly occurred at the Park Hyatt Hotel in New York, where Combs was first taken into custody back in September.

All three instances are more recent than many of the other claims against Combs, which date back to the early 1990s. In these most recent suits, the earliest assault allegedly took place in 2019 and according to NBC News, the third plaintiff alleges he was raped at Combs’ East Hamptons residence in 2020.

According to TMZ, one plaintiff claims the alleged rape was filmed by associates of Combs who then paid him $US2500 on behalf of Combs. The other two have not said if they were paid.

Combs’ attorneys have responded to the allegations, telling media: “These complaints are full of lies. We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who filed fictional claims against him.”

Bringing his current total number of lawsuits brought against him to over 30, the new lawsuits were filed in New York Supreme Court by Thomas Giuffra, a New York-based trial lawyer specialising in abuse cases.

“Combs would drug the people, they would wake up while he was raping them, and afterwards they would be rushed out the door, receive threats from people who worked for Mr Combs, and be frightened into silence,” Giuffra told The Guardian.

While these three suits were not filed by Attorney Tony Buzbee, when Buzbee made his public statement in October about the incoming lawsuits set to filed against Combs, he claimed to have more than 300 potential lawsuits alleging instances of sexual assault, violence, and other misconduct.

Buzbee has set up a 1-800 number to encourage potential victims to come forward and claims to represent over 120 individuals with allegations against Combs.

Buzbee recently included music mogul Jay-Z in one of his lawsuits, accusing both Jay-Z and Combs of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. Jay-Z has since filed a lawsuit against Buzbee for alleged blackmail.

Combs is currently jailed at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre on racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.

His three attempts to be released on bail have been denied as he awaits his criminal trial, set to begin in May.
