As everyone knows, 90 Day Fiancé is one of the biggest reality TV franchises on the air. Of course, one of the stars of the show happens to be Ed “Big Ed” Brown, who made headlines recently after popping the question to Porscha Raemond. However, they called off the wedding, and now he’s opening up about what went wrong.

Fans will recall that the world first got to know Big Ed in 2020 when he appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Notably, the show chronicled him traveling to the Philippines in order to work on his relationship. Regarding his relationship with Porscha, he is said to have met her at a fan meet and greet in Florida. The craziest part of the story is that he proposed to her within one day of meeting her.

Now, Big Ed is talking to E News about what led them to end their short-lived engagement and relationship. According to him, “Unfortunately, the media went after her.” He then says, “and it scared her away.”

Regarding why he proposed so quickly after meeting Porscha, Ed says, “I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I’m very spontaneous, just like I am on the show. What’s kind of funny is when you’re on reality TV, and you’re in real life, it’s kind of the same. The only difference is with TLC, the cameras are in front of you. So I’m that way on camera and off camera, so I wear my heart on my sleeve.”

Luckily, the 90-Day Fiance star has not given up on finding love and even shared one of the biggest lessons he’s ever learned during his romance journey.

According to Ed, “I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned: number one, don’t ever give up. And it’s a numbers game, so if you ask 100 girls out, 10 percent are gonna say yes. 90 percent are gonna say no. So I guess the key is, follow your heart, follow your dreams, and don’t ever give up.”

Of course, Ed is also busy in other ways beyond finding love. He says, “Actually, right now, I’m focused on bringing my Malbec from Argentina to the States. I’m also focused on real estate in northwest Arkansas. So that being said, with that and my dogs, Leon and Leah, I want to be single for a while.”

Fans can stream 90 Day Fiancé on multiple streaming platforms.
