Adele is releasing a concert film of her record-breaking 10-date Munich residency.
The 36-year-old singer performed in a custom-built arena that was named after her – and smashed the record for the most people at a residency outside of Las Vegas, selling 730,000 tickets. But fans who missed the shows, which took place in August, will now get the chance to enjoy them on screen instead.
An accompanying documentary will tell how the Adele World venue at the Munich Messe complex was created, and how the shows came about. Insiders say there are plans for it to go out on a streaming service.

“Fans will be able to see Adele at her best on stage, while also learning about the incredible engineering feat that was needed to build the unique venue.” As well as attendance numbers, the open-air shows broke a second record – for the largest continuous outdoor LED screen, which was 220m long and said to have cost £33million.
Along with a Ferris wheel and carousel, the Adele-themed venue included a British pub, a beer garden – and even an I Drink Wine bar. Last month, Adele announced a Weekends With Adele: Live in Las Vegas box set from her 100-date US residency, which ended three weeks ago.

The box set also comes with a 56-page photo book, a bag of confetti “directly from the show” and a fold-out box that mirrors the Weekends With Adele stage. It will be released in April. Following her residencies, Adele is now taking a “big break” from music to spend more time with her son Angelo, 12, and fiancé Rich Paul, 43.
