After combining these ingredients, Jessica lets the mixture sit for 20 minutes to loosen up the built-up grease.
As she demonstrates, combining the dish soap and baking soda makes the scrubbing process significantly easier, cutting down on the effort by "four times less scrubbing."
In the video, she shows the camera her air fryer baskets, which are covered in stubborn grease, before applying the cleaning method.

Once the mixture has done its job, Jessica lightly scrubs the baskets with a sponge and rinses them clean.
After drying the baskets thoroughly, she reassembles the air fryer, revealing how shiny and fresh it looks.
"Look at that. It’s shiny, squeaky clean and ready to feed the family again," she pointed out with pride.
To wrap up the process, Jessica recommends using a damp microfibre cloth to wipe down the exterior of the appliance, especially around the control panel and buttons, ensuring no moisture gets into the electronics.
For long-lasting results, she also advises giving your air fryer a quick clean after every use to prevent grease and food build-up, even if it’s just focusing on the basket.
This routine can keep your air fryer in top shape, making each use as easy as the first and avoiding nasty smells over time.
