Alix Earle was quick to support boyfriend Braxton Berrios after his football injury on Sunday, Oct. 20.

The 23-year-old influencer flew back to Miami from an originally planned 3-week New York trip, after her 29-year-old boyfriend suffered a severe knee injury during the Miami Dolphins game on Sunday, October 20, game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The athlete was placed on injured reserve by the team on Monday, per NBC Sports. (The Dolphins lost to the Colts with a score of 10-16.)

“It’s crazy how things can change in a matter of seconds … especially seeing how much hard work you put into the game not only physically but mentally,” Alix wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, October 21. “Day in and day out you inspire me and I have no doubt that you will be back and better in no time.”

Along with her Instagram Story, she also posted a TikTok of her finding out about her boyfriend’s injury, leading her to travel to and back from New York in the span of 24 hours.

The influencer wrote her message alongside a repost of Braxton’s own Monday Instagram post, where he revealed that his football season was over after suffering from a torn ACL.

“Absolutely heartbroken. Due to an injury yesterday my season is over, the road ahead is measured in months and not days, but I find comfort in knowing I’ve been here before,” the wide receiver wrote as his caption, saying that he believes despite all the setbacks, he will persevere as he’s always done: “There’s pain along the way, but what’s on the other side makes it all worth it.”

“Initially all I want to do is play victim and question everything,” he continued, “but I know God and I know he makes no mistakes. After the dust settles the choice each day is going to be pretty straightforward—have this be a part of my story or have it be the end of my story.”

He then finished up his caption with a quote from the late Kobe Bryant, “‘If you see me in a fight with a bear, pray for the bear.’”

Alix showed her support in the post’s comments, writing, “I love you❤️.”

ICYMI, Braxton and Alix have been dating for nearly a year. While she may have kept her relationship under wraps at the start (the “NFL man” of it all), she’s since been public with her love for the football star since the two confirmed they were officially dating in November 2023.
