Alyssa Milano posted a makeup-free selfie in honor of her 52nd birthday.

“This is 52. No make up. No filters. Happiness. Sprinkle that (expletive) everywhere,” she wrote in the Facebook post.

“! love you all. Even the trolls. If you can hate a stranger—I can love a stranger. So…I love you,” she wrote. Milano’s birthday was on December 19. Milano also posted the selfie on her Instagram page, and she edited it to add, “Edit: yes, my eyebrows are micro-bladed.”

Many People Praised Alyssa Milano for Posing Without Makeup

Milano’s selfie drew a mixed reaction, but many people praised her for posing without makeup.

“Happy Birthday Beautiful. Enjoy your special day,” wrote one fan on her Facebook post comment thread, including heart emojis. “Thank you for representing our generation!” wrote another person.

“Still beautiful and grew up watching you in favorite shows,” a fan wrote.

Other people questioned whether Milano has had other work done, but a fan responded, “Stunning glow at 52! While the photo showcases a radiant version of beauty, it’s worth noting that ‘natural’ often gets redefined in the age of enhancements like Botox, microtox, and fillers. No makeup doesn’t always equate to truly untouched. That said, your positivity is what shines the most—loving strangers and sprinkling happiness is the real beauty flex. Let’s all sprinkle that energy around!”

Alyssa Milano Also Posted a Makeup-Free Selfie When She Turned 50

It’s not the first time that Milano has posed without makeup on as a message of empowerment for older women. She did the same on her Instagram page when she turned 50.

“This is 50. No filter. No touching up. No make up. I will spend this day, the same as every day. I will move a little, love a lot, be of service, and count my blessings,” Milano wrote at that time.

“I’m happy to be here. Right here. Right now. In this time. In my time. In your time,” she wrote. “There’s still so much to look forward to! And you know what? It’s even been okay to look back where I’ve been, where I came from, how far I’ve come, who came into my life and who stayed.”

“Thanks for all of your support and Birthday wishes. Let’s keep going,” Milano added.
