Amanda Batula Reveals ‘Anxiety’ Over Summer House Season 9 Premiere

The highly anticipated ninth season of Summer House is to premiere on February 12 and fans can’t wait to see what went down during their vacation in the Hamptons. The trailer dropped recently and there’s clearly a lot of unresolved drama between former couple Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke. Also, Paige DeSorbo once again comes to the defense of Amanda Batula. And spars with her husband, Kyle Cooke, in the process.

In anticipation of that feud, and other conflict this season, Amanda admitted to feeling “anxiety” over the premiere. The Bravolebrity also explained how the lapse in time since filming makes it hard to relive those moments with the same perspective.

Amanda Batula teases a “different perspective” now than she had while filming

“I feel like this lull between the super tease and the premiere is probably when I have the most anxiety,” Amanda told Us Weekly. “Because it’s like you just start thinking about like, ‘Oh, my God, everything that’s gonna air.’”

Watching the events unfold on camera gives Amanda a mixture of feelings from “exciting” to “weird.” And the trailer release starts the roller coaster of emotions.

“I’m glad that it happens over the holidays so that there’s plenty of stuff to distract us with,” Amanda explained.

The haze of alcohol at the cast summer parties doesn’t add to the clarity of what might be shown on camera. And the Summer House gang knows how to have a memorable party.

She shared, “Even though it was a great summer, it’s just always that anticipation of, ‘What the hell did we do?’”

It’s a “hard” problem for reality TV stars and not knowing what the editors chose to include in the season. Amanda is a veteran star on the show. This isn’t new for her.

“It’s exciting to watch but it’s also just like, ‘Oh my God, what’s gonna play out?’” Amanda added. “Do you remember everything you said or did when you had a few cocktails? You know, it’s a little hazy.”

There’s an issue of context too. Especially since so much time has “transpired” since filming over the summer. Cast relations could also be different.

“You watch it back knowing what you know now and you have a different perspective on it than you did in the moment,” Amanda said.

Summer House premieres Wednesday, February 12, at 9/8c on Bravo.
