Fans of Summer House are eagerly awaiting news about season nine of the show. This is especially true because exes Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke will both be returning. One of the show’s other cast members, Amanda Batula, recently provided an update on her and Kyle Cooke‘s plans to buy a home away from everyone else in New Jersey. Plus, she’s opening up about how season nine of the hit Bravo show is different despite most of the cast returning.
Summer House fans will remember that while season eight had lots of fun and lighthearted moments, it was overall an especially tense outing for the cast. One of the tensest moments of the season was the demise of Carl and Lindsay’s wedding plans. Naturally, an incredibly intense reunion followed.
As many are aware, Amanda and Kyle previously discussed plans to move from New York and buy a home in New Jersey. However, it seems that Amanda was more into this move than Kyle was. Based on what he previously said, Kyle felt that the move could alienate him from everyone else. Now, according to Bravo, Amanda has provided an update on where they are with this goal.
She said, “We’re still in our same apartment. We haven’t left.”
It also seems like their plans have changed, and she said they might be “finding a new apartment in the city.” Apparently, they hope to find one that they could “grow into with a family.”
Amanda continued, “Right now, that’s sort of what we’re focused on. But there is no pressure. According to Kyle, he has been looking. So when the right place comes up, we’ll snatch it. Otherwise, we’ll have to wait for when the pressure’s on and we [have] to move out. But right now we’re in our same spot… We’ll probably continue living in the city for a bit longer.”
Amanda recently teased Summer House season nine to Life & Style Weekly. When asked what fans can expect once the show returns, she said, “I think that all I can say is that this summer is different. Last summer, you kind of had … for the most part, everyone was best friends and getting along.”
Regarding season eight, Amanda said there was a “little beef here and there” and “drama sprinkled throughout.”
However, she added, “This summer was different. There’s a lot of different dynamics in the house. It’s good, though. It’s interesting. I enjoyed it.”
From the sound of things, Bravo fans have quite a bit to look forward to when the show returns. The cast wrapped filming around Labor Day. For now, fans can watch old episodes of Summer House on Peacock.
