Amanda Holden confesses to 'crush' on other man that her husband 'never understood'

3 hours ago 2

Amanda Holden has spilled on her husband Chris Hughes' reaction to her "crush" on former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.

Back on the airwaves for Heart Radio's Breakfast Show on Monday, the 53-year-old made her admission after guest Alex Horne listed Klopp as one of the stars he'd love to have on Taskmaster.

Alex began by saying his ideal guests included Prince William followed by Klopp, which prompted Amanda to interject and say: "Amazing!

"I used to have a bit of a crush on Jurgen Klopp, my husband never understood it, especially because I'm an Evertonian.

"But he doesn't get it because of his teeth, he's like how can you, you know, with a man with that smile?

"I think there's something about him!"

The football manager isn't the first on Amanda's "weird crush" list, with the presenter previously gushing over a famous businessman too.

During an episode of Amanda Holden and Alan Carr's Italian Job last year, she insisted there was quite a few surprising people she fancied.

Asked about her weird crush by Alan, she replied: “Don’t get me started," before adding: "I quite like Alan Sugar."

Stunned by her admission, her co-star replied: "Really?”

Not stopping there, she continued: “I’ve always had a thing for Jack Nicholson my whole life.”

In a further cheeky admission, the presenter added: “I like someone that makes me laugh, I’ve been laughed into bed."

Amanda has been married to her second husband Chris since 2008 and together they share two daughters; Lexi, 18, and Hollie, 12.

Previously discussing their relationship, the presenter admitted laughter was one of the key factors behind their happiness.

"Chris is very funny and errs on the side of lightness," she told Hello! Magazine.

"We can make jokes out of any situation throughout the best and darkest times of our lives."

Although "rubbish at romance", Amanda added that he makes up for this with things such as cleaning her car and making sure she's relaxed.

"He's a proper bloke who looks after me. I'm a strong, opinionated woman, but he helps steer the Mandy ship," she added.
